I'm one hour away from buying Metroid Prime 2 Echoes! I've been really looking forward to this game, as most people describe it as an extension to Prime, not an addition. I really liked Prime. I can see their point- all the controls are the same, but you have extra abilities. I was wondering if anyone else had anything to say, and does anyone have this game already?

It's good that you're about to get an exciting new game. I hope it meets your expectations.

I've had it and beat it. It's very fun. I'd say it's more difficult than Prime.

I'm stuck on the Boost Guardian because I don't have enough Light ammo. Are there any extensions you can get before him that I might have missed?

I'm afraid I don't know, but I have a really cool hint for you ;D when you can shoot the Guardian, chage a Super Missle and as soon as you can Fire it full blast into him. this kill's about 1/3rd's of his heailth . also when the boost guardian changes into the Morph Ball, DO NOT GO INTO MORPH BALL MODE. it helps to just simply jump over him before he changes into the brown puddle. that's all I can remember to smashing him. as long as you keep the tiny pests from hurting you(aka killing them) and collecting the pick-ups they drop you're fine. EDIT: OUCH. I'm mkin lats f tipoa tofat. (Translation: OUCH. I'm making lots of typos today.)

So it is popular. Yah, I got it the day before yesterday, I'm already up to Amorbis. Haven't gotten round to trying him yet cause of school. Used a walkthrough. (Bear in mind that I'm not relying on a walkthrough, only getting hints when I need them. Walkthrough= guides.ign.com/guides/499105/page_3.htmlBoost Guardian: Meh. Walkthrough is your friend. However, based on the guide I'm using, your worst nightmare is the Spider Guardian. *looks furtively left and right* How did you (people in general) go with Amorbis? Easy? Ps, It's mah birfdey today! Pps, for people with no sense of humour, those are not typos. Oh, and Edit: LG, if you read the instruction manual, you'll find that when the light beam runs out, you can use the charge beam to fire ordinary light beam shots with unlimited ammo. This is to act as a "backup" in case you run out in a critical place and need to open a door, dark or light. It isn't useful in that fight, though, because it takes so long to fire. In every walkthrough, every guide, and from me, the best alternative is charged up power beams. Or a coffee powered finger on the A button. Editedit: Mister_nothing: "tiny pests" It spawns Inglets. (Tiny, and annoyingly durable Warrior Ing-like things.)

How did you (people in general) go with Amorbis? Easy? Yeah, he's pretty easy. Just stay in the safe zones and pummel him with charged light shots and super missiles to break his armor, and then go into morph ball when he does his vacuum-thing and bomb inside of him. But he can neutralize the safe zones, so look out for that. And when he pops out of the ground. You don't want to be riding the jaws of a giant, Dark-Energy spewing, mutant worm creature.

You don't want to be riding the jaws of a giant, Dark-Energy spewing, mutant worm creature. Well, um.. no, no. No I don't. *visualizes* ... I'm sure it would look cool though, if only we could find a giant, dark energy spewing mutant worm creature. Oh, and a bidimensional world with poisonous air. What a weird place the world universe would be if videogames were real. Edit: Oh flip, I'm talking philosophically again.

What a weird place the world universe would be if videogames were real. All the ladies would be super hot, wear revealing clothing, and know kung fu! ...Yeah, I wish.

What is it with you and gir- Uhm, sorry. Off topic. Yeah, so I'm about to go and play it now. But before I get off, I'll provide a link to the best Samus site on the net, and a particular page on that site.. which has full downloadable video coverage of a 1.5 hour speed run through the entire game of Echoes. www.samus.co.uk/mprime2/speed_runs.shtmlSchweet. Use the nav bar to look at the other games- it has glitches, speed runs, codes, secret worlds and every available scrap of information on the net for every single metroid game ever. Including Prime 3 and Hunters! Edit: I'll come back and post how Amorbis went.

SFDP, but *bump*.
I beat Amorbis first time! And I've also gotten past the Boost Guardian.
And LG: Boost Guardian is very difficult, yes, but you don't need light ammo. It's useful, but not necessary. Super Missiles are way more powerful. When he goes liquid, he will spawn inglets. Get them, while avoiding the Guardian! His slimey self will damage you considerably on touch. Otherwise, just keep bombing the form to force him to a damageable state. When he boost balls is the most damaging and difficult part. Get him to hit a pillar, and he'll revert to the slime form. Hit the slime form until you can shoot his real form. And bear in mind that the boost ball is extremely damaging. One hit takes about 30 points off your health. Keep moving is the motto.
The Boost Guardian took me 4 tries. If you save at the save point near the arena, it's easy to re-engage the fight after dying.
And one more point: On all three failed attempts I managed to whittle the health down very low, but couldn't push it past zero before being killed. When the health is just above zero, use a charge beam, not the super missile. It takes too much time to charge.
Voila, hope that helps.

so, kk, I bought my Roma Victor account and can't wait to start pwning some romans. Maybe I'll get to see a crucifiction too.
Guild Wars factions is ok.. I barely played it and I'm not really into Guild Wars. The only reason to ever play it is if you have some friends to play with, and if you can't afford like, a monthly fee. But, buying some online FPS game you could play online with friends would be funner IMHO. It depends what you like to play.

Is Nintendo intentionally trying to make nobody want to buy their new console, or something? Check this out: revolution.nintendo.com/Whee!

I hope it fails. Horribly.
