I've been to California many of times but I've never witnessed an earthquake, a mudslide or any bad weather at all.
I realize that I don't live there so its easy for me to see California as a weather perfect but I have trained in California. Fresno, Torrance, and San Diego especially.

probably enough to have to shovel the walk, and brush off bushes and not enough to stop school

I take it that is "Spring" training.  I will say that for the most part Southern California is mild and beautiful. We have our winters and natural disasters but I would never live anywhere else.  |

Yeah. Most of my spring training was in Ft Myers Florida or southern California.

We have 2-3 inches of snow where I live, and we are expecting more snow throughout the week. However it was not enough to cancel the area schools around here, not that it matters to me anymore, since I have been out of school since 2008.

My region got pounded by snow about two weeks ago. We wound up with a bit more than two feet. Believe me, it was fun digging out. We got about two more inches on Friday last week, and last night we came up with about four. It wasn't as bad digging out this time around. I still like the way fresh snow looks, and I'm enjoying the cold this winter because of the nightmarish heat of the summer we went through. I actually looked it up, and the months of May through August 2010 have been classified as one of the worst heat waves in recorded history.
My body hasn't forgotten the heat either, which is why I keep getting asked why I'm not wearing a coat when I go outside for a bit. I'm enjoying the winter because it won't last long, and I'll have to suffer through more heat this summer. I guess it's what I get for having Nordic heritage.

i have a question? who has the money to send me to california because looking at the pictures makes me want to hop on a plane and leave pa now lol. tuesday I hear they are calling for some kind of mix storm so we might get ice. I hate the cold it's so miserable.
