I have this battle with this guy who works another shift. Theres a truck both of us use at work. That blue Ford I have done blogs with. Well the area its parked in is right next to a sidewalk. and the parking lot is lower and there's a big puddle where its parked if it rains. I park it a little closer to the sidewalk so that you can step from the sidewalk to the truck's running board without stepping in the puddle. No wet feet. Same thing getting out and the mirror is well inside the lot and doesn't hover over the walk at all.
This guy parks it in about 3 feet deeper in the lot so it can't be touched from the walk. That's fine if it hasn't rained in a few days. But if it has, you can't possibly avoid a wet foot its ankle deep most of the time if it rains. Its an unpaved stone lot that dips down.
I don't mind working overnight or even outside in the weather. Its not my favorite thing if its raining but you cant stop the rain and things need to get done so be it. We can avoid getting a wet foot that is going to keep you wet and cold for your entire shift by just moving about a foot or so closer.
This guy is kind of a dick I am not sure he doesnt get some satisfaction in it.

Does this guy do that to mess with you or he thinks it should be farther from the sidewalk and that you just have to take your chances about the weather.

We got hit hard with more than a foot. I double shifted yesterday and then plowed snow until it was time for work last night. After 2 days without sleep I landed home this morning I just got up about 10 minutes ago.

It was around 55 where I am. I'm pretty sure its in the 30s or very low 40s right now.
I'll tell you one thing. When I first starting playing baseball in southern cities all the locals tell me how it never gets cold where they are.
Not entirely true! Obviously I grew up on an area that gets cold and snow and stays cold all winter its warmer here that part is true. But when my parents and my brothers call to say its in the 20s with snow where I am its 45 and rain. Its not the tropical heat wave the natives tell northerners it is.

We have snow, but it's not deep. Just on the grass, the roads are pretty good for now. I hope it doesn't become worse.

We got snow last week, but it was just enough to cover the grass. It's snowing now, but it's just little snow flurries. I'm just glad I don't live anywhere near Lake Erie. The people around that area have snow that is about a foot deep or more right now.

We got pounded hard with snow. I was busy all last week. We are said to get more but you just never know. I hope not because we kind of need some of what's here to melt and make room for what falls next.

Even though its only about 14 degrees its sunny. So I replowed all the driveways that I plow because with the sun out any snow that isnt too deep will still melt.

Its 55 degrees with rain now. Go figure. Much of the snow will be gone but not the deeply piled snow, then it will get cold and freeze and snow over the top isnt that great
Beangirl, they usually allow for a projected number of snowdays. I think it's 6 but I'll look it up and post it. I think its 6 if they get more than that they add days at the end or shorten Easter vacation. They try not to cancel school if they can help it. They try to get to at least 4th period to legally claim they had school.
If they don't reach the 6 they sometimes burn a snow day with a 'conference day.'

Thanks Phil. That I didn't know. Schools in Palm Springs, CA which is a desert close in May instead of June because of the heat which can reach 116 F in July. I would guess out Mountain Schools would have snow days.We can get quite a lot in those communities.

BTW plowing snow is a thankless thing. You clear an area out and in a short time it snows itself right back in. Its full again in a short time when its coming down like this.
At least when you mow lawns its good for about a week.
