Werwoof is 50 we have known him for years through discussion boards.
Dannyboy is mine and Blastgirls brother. Jason97 is Phils son for clarification.

But werwoof at the time thought Dannyboy was younger than 25 and said his posts were well worth reading, so that wouldnt assume that young members don't have anything to contribute.

And aido179 and edlinfan are relatively new participators and both of them have brought some great posts to the site.

Im happy to see more posts that have a discussable meaning.

I dont think Ive ever counted somebodys posts as a way of deciding how I like them as a member though.

It is very necessary because this could also be an age/respect thing. Just because you're older doesn't mean you're smarter or wiser. So when werwoof says "I only want to talk to the adults" he is putting down the younger members and no one says "Oh is that nessasary werwoof"? no. So I contend that an old man who acts stupidly shouldn't be given respect.

I vote: Yes.

Someone with few posts doesn't know 'the scene' and so no one knows them. How can someone be respected if they're not known.
You can't walk into a Hollywood Glam-fest and expect everyone to shake your hand and buy you drinks...you gotta earn it.

Also, the new kid at school isn't going to be highly respected until he's been there a few days and proves he's not an idiot......or that he IS an idiot.

Yes, a poster with 2 posts can have really intellectual things to say,,but who's to say that's the only genious he/she has? What if the next 2000 are going to be: "That's so gay" or "hahaha"....

There's also a difference between n00b and newb:

Newb: "Hey man, I'm not sure how this works. Can I do this, or that?"
Response: "Yes. If you push the 'x' button, it should work."
Newb: "Thanks, man. I appreciate it."

n00b: "I've been posting here for 5 years! I know what I'm doing. I was a moderator here before you were even born!"
Response: "This site is only a year old."
n00b: "Screw you! I know what I'm talking about! You're so gay!"

(Except, the n00b doesn't capitalize or punctuate,,but I can't bring myself to 'not' do so.)

A Newb will have a small count and come in fresh faced.
A n00b will sometimes have a large count and still not get what's going on.

And, Aido, you are no longer a newb.

It's not my "territory," per se. I just like it here. But if it were anyone's territory, it would be more mine than yours.

Long ago and far away, this forum *almost* ceased to exist when a rogue member deleted every post in the site's history about a year ago. Most people decided, "Screw this, there's nothing left here for us," and left. A few of us stayed. That's what happened.

I'm mature and respectful for the most part, it's just that sometimes I get really upset when people are unreasonable.
