Im glad some people are still accountable for what they do. I get tired of how most people these days have some lame excuse for not being up for their job or to be responsible at all.
I get told how bad their grade school teachers were when a student doesnt do their assignment. So if you had a bad fourth grade teacher then you never learned to be prepared when youre in your junior year? Those people will do the same thing all their life.

I'm late on my injections (they deliver to my house) because someone, somewhere, mistyped a 4 instead of a 1 on my insurance form.
It's taken them over a week to figure this out.
I was supposed to have an injection yesterday but, I won't receive my needles until Tuesday - and no one will fess up. I got my boss involved. He had it fixed in half an hour. It's fun to watch him in action but, I'd never want to get on his bad side.

That's pretty bad. If that number being incorrect was the wrong dosage of medication.

If I grew a pair of ta-tas, I'd never leave the house!! Girls are so lucky... You don't know how that sounds on just about two hours sleep. THe theme of the thread is stupidity. What is most insulting about idiots is they think they're smart enough to trick the rest of us. I had to fire a drunk about a year ago. I told him flat out that you can't be drunk on the job he tells me he wasn't drunk. I'm like "Ok, I imagined that, you slurred your words and wrote down the order all wrong and in an unreadable print, but it was my eyes and ears playing tricks on me." Like this dufas was smart enough to be lit and play it straight enough that I wouldn't notice. The fact that he would think that is enough to be just as insulting as the deed itself.

Tonight I hit the grindstone after a little more than a week's respite.
Every Holiday I welcome aging for that 1 reason. I've mentioned before it took about 15 years to get any holidays off. That's why it still seems so amazing when I am off on Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and all.

There's some new stupidity at my work.
We're managing a baseball league. A recreational team. The team put together but sponsored by my work is awful. sorry to say but it is.
So there's two guys with a bad attitude and they such at baseball. They're wondering if there's prize money if you win the league championship. First of all, there isn't cash paid out but credit is allotted for future participation. If there was anything paid out it would go to the brothers who own the store I work at that has fronted the cost of the team's league fares anyway.
But even at that these guys suck so bad I doubt that team will win 10 of the 50 scheduled games this year. I wish I could put the team together. I'd get a team that would be competitive and not stack the deck with former pro players either. I'd pick better out of the hat they had to choose from.

Unfounded arrogance is almost embroidered into the materiel of playing sports. I've played ball hockey since I was a little kid. I still play with my brother once in a while. I played regularly until my 3rd child was born. But this isn't even close to the sports level Classic knows and the degree of people who think they're good and are either very average or even weak is amazing.
And this wasn't even a pro level like Classic is talking about. This was a league where if you have a hockey stick and a 10 dollar bill you can get on a team there's no tryout order at all.
There's still arrogance like you can't imagine and even solidify the foundation for it.
Hypothetically. Lets say me, my brother Alan, and Jason joined a recreation baseball team and Classic happened to be on it. And lets just say for the sake of this conversation that Classic had a lot to say about what the team was doing wrong and how they're supposed to play. It might be annoying to some but at least then I could say. 'This guy has played on a pro level and knows the right way. Hes played with pros and it might be difficult to have to count on teammates who have no formal training to speak of.'
I am not saying that's how it would go but I'd be more understanding if it did.
Hearing things from guys who are not any better maybe not even as good and being talked down to like they know more when they don't is much more difficult.

I know what you are speaking of, Phil. The uncontrollable pompous aSS. Those guys are on all teams at every level. The level of tolerance they receive is also variable. If you can back it up more people will put up with you than whey you just talk trash to and about others.

Enough 1st shift bozos had sunny post holiday blues yesterday but oh well. Thats the way these guys are. It would be foolish of the rest of us to think that would change now. So just know the double shift is coming as such times.
Its not bad in a way though. I did have off for the holiday and then I got a double shift the next day so basically I get another shift of pay and a holiday pay.

that's great phil that means more money for you. I actually miss working double shift even though it really tires me out. I did work memorial day thank god for holiday pay. I need to ask a manager about what's the deal with cutting my hours like this. we are not able to get anything done like returns or straightening it's so bad. you can't say anything about a certain slacker like anna now they don't want to hear it. like how she was on dinner a extra 10 minutes and she was asked to help but she sat in the training room until her boyfriend said it's time to take their dinner together. this week my only long shift is 10am-4pm which I love morning shift. but then I get 6-10pm. when I get in at 6 the fitting room will have exploded with clothes. my one co-worker told me it took her 45 minutes to clean the rooms out and hang clothes in a basket it was so bad. last night my one co-worker told this lady she can't bring her basket in the room. then she gave her a attitude left all her clothes in the room plus her basket there. that's the thing were trying to stop now. when people bring baskets in the fitting room they throw piles of clothes around then leave the baskets there. it's like we don't have enough to deal with.

I love my job now out in the Garden. I also can cashier at the outside register and work with the flowers. I am outside and drama free! My hours were cut this week two. At Wal Mart certain departments will have there hours cut and associates will work less. this time it is front end. This is done by corporate. That's my department because I am a People Greeter. I only work six hours this week. Our bonus is next week and we got our full share this quarter! I will get $524.00!

Its nice to have a job you enjoy. I was blessed with it most of my life. I am again obviously. I'm exposed to baseball and other sports. The 2010 year was sort of a non-exciting but it was a job and it was better than nothing. It got me an income for about eight months til I found a more long term solution.

Omg Stupidity is indeed everywhere. I have kind of used facebook to share silly stories and the amount of fetish people who are on is sickening. I joined some groups and have been stalked by some trolls. At least theres enough to distance them if I want to.

oh wow beangirl at kmart we don't even get bonuses. I got 18 hours for the week. I have to save money for a bus trip to philly in august. however I talked to my co-worker and said everyone had their hours cut because of all the new people they hired. but we should get our hours soon. I think it's pretty funny they hire all these new people now but christmas time at our busiest we had no help. I think I should give up my job for walmart. it sounds much better then where I am at.
