I think Jessica Simpson is very clever. She knows how to play the dizzy blond but she fully knows what she's doing. I have no doubt Jessica has more marbles than she wants the rest of us to think.

I think you have more faith in the intelligence of some celebrities than I do but then again its hard to get that far and really be as dizzy as Jessica and a few others portray themselves.

I didn't know Buffalos had wings. I suppose Townhouse cookies aren't baked in a townhouse.

How about the woman who was asked by a reporter if she liked Christmas? She replied " Oh yes! I love Christmas. I think they should have it every year ."

That was probably our neighbor across the way. I should have Blastgirl discuss her. hahaha. They must have taken her advice I think they scheduled it for December 25 this year.

That's a candidate for a Jay Walking discussion.

omg I can't believe she said that. she doesn't know christmas is every year lol. over the years in retail I have had lots of people ask me crazy stuff. like do you work here? no I just shop here with my name tag on. in jewelery someone asked when are we going out of buisness. I said were not. she said well why is everything so cheap? uummm it's kmart not macys. back when we closed christmas eve early we actually got yelled at because they can't finish their shopping so that's kmart's fault. amazingly we are now open till 10pm. when I was a cashier I called for a price check and the custormer got offended. she said don't make me call security on you. because I had to work on sundays I was told by a custermer that I was going to hell because I was working when I should be at church. I had someone insult me at work asking when I was going to get a real job and it must be nice getting paid to do nothing when the idiot was not even smart enough to slide his freaking credit card. my biggest thing I get mad about in retail is the fitting room is not a bathroom. sometimes I don't know what these people are thinking when they say this stuff out loud.

I always hope that Jay Walking only shows the extreme and most people do know the answer but I'm not always so sure.

Back when I worked at my old job, I've been asked every strange question you can think of; Do you work here? No I actually a customer. I bought the uniformed shirt at a garage sale. There were some customers who would come into the shop in the middle of the day and ask, "Are you open?" You walked through an unlocked door, so yes. If we were closed, you would still be outside.
My favorite one happened one night while working the closing shift. Besides waiting on customers, we had to make food and do prep work, sweep, mop, clean, and check for paper towels and toilet paper. Anyway it was my night to clean bathrooms. The bathrooms at my old work, both the mens' and womens' restrooms had one toilet. I was in the mens' room cleaning the sink and mirror, and a man walked into the bathroom. He then asked me, "What are you doing in the mens' room?" The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

so I finally have really great news. I was on facebook and I was looking at my one co-worker's page. she is at another kmart helping out in remodeling. I will paste the great news below.
Staci Kuhns I only got 2 more days! 12 hours agoDiamond Jenkins Hey I dnt work at kmart nomore imma miss u 11 hours agoAshley Erie what happened? 9 hours agoDiamond Jenkins They terminated me cuz I was absent 9 hours agoAshley Erie ooo tisk tisk lol 4 hours ago
so that is my great news diamond got fired!!!!! omg what a relief I don't have to see her on the weekends when we are busy and she just does nothing but sit in the break room until management comes after her. but I did find it funny she said she was fired for being absent. at kmart that is not possible. she was fired because she had a attitude problem, never helped me with returns, had conversations at the service desk with people so she couldn't finish straighten and me and my co-worker had to bust out butts doing her work, and lets not forget not showing up in dress code and calling off repeatedly. I never thought this day would actually come but 2 years later I am so glad she is gone!!! I had off the weekend when my co-worker pat was there so I can't wait to find out if she knows why they finally fired her.

Hahaha. The 3rd baseman #8 is still holding a hot bat. I'm two for two on my prophesies. I just knew from the stories told by Angel607 and Beangirl that the stores were leading up to making the much needed changes.
This Diamond probably tells people she got fired for missing work once.

Here is one I never expected! We have a long term people greeter named Darla who has been at the store since it opened in 2002.She started as a cashier but suffered a nervous breakdown when her husband secretly spent her inheritance of one million dollars from her parents on bad investments. They lost everything including the house. She was institutionalized and diagnosed as bi polar. She is not very bright and takes a lot of medications. She talks and talks all day to anyone and everyone. She has frequent leaves of absences with doctors orders. She has totaled two cars and had recent knee surgery because she ran her bicycle into a fire hydrant. So, on Sunday she comes in with her paper work to return to the door after being gone since January and they fired her. Darla has gotten away with so much stuff just in the three years that I have been at Wal Mart. We all thought because of her mental issues she was untouchable. I guess not.

Beangirl I think they probably did have her as untouchable but everything has limits. Id bet that wasnt the first time she took a three month break.

She has to have December off because the holidays are too stressful. She had to have July off because Summer is too stressful. Sheesh! Welcome to retail .

That's ridiculous! I man is there really any time that's unstressful? I don't doubt that some times are worse than others. Obviously we all worry more at certain times of the year. When I played ball the time between New Years and spring training was the toughest. Especially when I passed age 30 and being a minor leaguer there's always the concern that a 20 year old comes to camp and plays 3rdbase. That happened a few times I had to bounce around a couple times to prolong my career. This last time I did not seek a job because I knew I was not going to get signed and if I had been it would have been only a short term arrangement.
But deciding what to do with my life at age 35 was a bit stressful too. Please remember I had only one non ball playing job prior to the end of the 2009 baseball season and that was in our family business. That meant to go back to that I'd have to uproot my wife and my children who only have lived one place.
Or, I had to try to find employment here.
I didn't happen to stumble upon it. I scouted for a season and looked around weighed options and seem to have found a good fit but it took a year plus for those who remember when it was going on. If anybody thinks I wasn't stressed guess again. Meanwhile we were living on money I had set aside. Most of that got used up during my time of working out the issues but I still had to work it out everyday.

thank you everyone. I found out yesterday it happened last thursday. she came into work at 5pm and they fired her at 7pm. she missed to many days. and yes classicblast you were right about her not lasting. I guess you can only get away with so much but it will catch up and it got diamond thank god.
wow beangirl that's a lot for someone to go through. but if she wasn't working like diamond has it is good to fire them. usually they are afraid they can get sued for firing someone like that but it's not fair to the people who work hard and have to deal with so much. I hope she is able to get help for what she is going through. that's horrible to lose everything. after what she did to 2 of the cars I would be afraid of her driving on the road. I don't know how anyone can steal a million dollars from someone that's horrible.
