Buhhh...preadols.....can't live with them. Can't kill them. Once you prepubescents realize that your own home is being invaded by your neighbors, you'll begin to see what's really going on. Even at the ripe old age of 20 the world will seem plumb. But, once you see that the money that you've worked so hard for,and paid into your taxes is going to illegals, you will have something different to say. If some illegal barged into your house in the night, what would you do? Would you shoot the heck out of him? or would you give him a blanket to sleep in your bed as you sleep on your own couch? And, the next morning, you'd start learning spanish because he'll refuse to learn engishl. *** Cactus, it doesn't matter what the number of spanish speakers versus english speaks is. If the French invaded Czech in the same manner, would you expect the Czechs to learn French? (you probably would, just to be "different".) How's "being different" going for you? Getting laid more? I used to like you Cactus (and you to 'Underscore') but you're just being unpatriotic and commiting treason. *** Formerly McLiberal: It doesn't matter what I do for a living. I enjoy driving. It has so many advantages over the 9-5 jobs that most people do. I still have a mind - and it exceeds the level of a teen. I've paid taxes. I've voted. I've tackled a crazy lady. I've seen a naked girl. I've had bill collectors call me. I've spoken with Clinton (though briefly) I've been electricuted. (more than once) I've lived life, just as any lawyer, doctor, scientist or politician has. I've lived on Macaroni and Cheese, just to pay the mortgage. How does this make "A Truck Driver" lower than anyone else? At least I'm not some teen in junior high - with braces and afro hair. I'm an adult, pay taxes, have held a job, have lived on my own, had to struggle to put food on the table, can vote, and have almost died four times. I've been in car accidents, have almost drowned twice, once in my own blood, and have taken numerous falls from over 40 feet. I know life. But I don't care about illegals in this country. If they're willing to do my job for less money, more power to them.

Liar. If you've been electrocuted, you're dead. ...You don't know much do you? There's different voltage amounts you know... People have survived these things before, it's nothing new.

From dictionary.com e·lec·tro·cute /ɪˈlɛktrəˌkyut/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[i-lek-truh-kyoot] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –verb (used with object), -cut·ed, -cut·ing. 1. to kill by electricity. 2. to execute (a criminal) by electricity, as in an electric chair.
you can tell manarch meant like accidentally sticking something in an outlet or something like that.
Edit:
Firebrand: Don't say Slayer is stupid when by definition he is right so get your facts straight before you start to defend Manarch

who cares what the f*cking dictionary says you know damn well what he was trying to say, so don't pull that crap because he didn't use an exact term for something. Besides, there can be variations on definitions and examples it can give because they can only print so much in there.

Don't tell me what to read, I saw it, and I'll say what I want to. Calling Mahnarch a liar is bull, because obviously he didn't bother to think what Mahnarch really meant when he said that.

Lewasite never fails to impress me. No matter how diverse the views of our members, they never get into petty arguments or resort to namecalling. Yes, truly, Lewasite is a haven for those who value a logical and fair debate.

How lovely, my post got deleted.
. If you can't take a bit of criticism, then you're obviously an immature, foolish person.

I modified your F bomb out of that post. I don't know what post or why got deleted I haven't been home to be online until just now.
Your post should should not have been deleted if it was for no reason other than having a different point of view.
However I did take the F bomb out of your last one. I would be interested in knowing what you had said previously.
Now receiving a heavy electric shock is often said to be an electrocution even if the injured is not killed.
That might not be correct by old Mr Webster's definition there is still a large echelon of people who use the term electrocuted for that purpose.
I think it's fair to assume Mahnarch didn't die. But his point was more about experiences he has had.
PS. I would like to say to whoever may have deleted SlayerX's post for whatever reason there is no need to delete a post unless there's porn links in there, personal info is given out without the person's permission, or the contents contains words not allowed on the site.
Nobody should have their post deleted if the reason is just they don't agree with you.

I deleted Slayer's post.
I've been trying to get a message across for a while now, but you keep distracting each other, and stuff gets ignored. What Slayer's post originally did was agree with mine, and then insult Mahnarch. Since that would have made everyone flip out and ignore my post again, I deleted it.
The fact is, I'm a mod of this board, and if all people are going to do is insult each other and not talk about the issues (everyone here had resorted to just attacking the other person. Everyone.), then it's time something gets done about it. If you can't have a debate without acting condescending, insulting others, or just making generally stupid, unsupported claims, you shouldn't be in here at all. And frankly, so far it's just not happening.

OK,,,I'm totally flipping out.

Ok, first off, Jesusaurus, you are hard to read, my brother. First you come across as crass and arrogant, then you redeem yourself in half a post then then attack again You're like some sort of re-incarnation of Tommy Lee Jones' 'Two-Face' character in Batman: Something.
You're awesome in your intelect. You're a smart kid. I love that. I just don't like your approach to certain things, and your lack of reason on other things.
***
Skier, you astound me more.
You come in here blazing swords (mostly at me) and attack with razor sharp teeth and then suddenly you come up with:
Whether it's against me, or not I bow to you. Bravo. You are more civilized than I gave you thought before.
Without you posting your birthdate, and from what I think I may have heard from others, I though you were a 15 year old boy. But, I "learned" this when I was new to the forum, and I could have mistaken you with someone else - most likely Earl.
But, your condiscending remarks toward me and others (mostly me) made me believe that the 15y.o. remarks were indeed you.
If you are indeed older than I thought you were, then you can see how I'D see how immature a 15 year old would be on certain measures.
If SlayerX insulted me, then I have a different view of him, also - and not only on Lewasite (if he knows what I mean) >:-(~

I think Skier is 18 or 19 now but I'm not sure.
I think what this thread finally comes down to is if Mexicans and other cheap labor cultures are taking our jobs its partially attributed to big business cutting expense in volume by using outsourcing to cut production costs. The other half is American workers not willing to do what we deem to be garbage work. Or at least insisting to be paid more to have to do it. And with that comes cheap labor in exchange.

The first was a simple statement, not barbed at all. I was just expressing a different viewpoint. The other two posts were trying to stop the rather petty personal attacks and justify the deletion of Slayer's post. I can see how you'd mistake me for Earl, though... our posting styles are similar. And, as stated several times, age is not important at all. In real life, I know 14 year olds who are more mature than me, and 40+ year olds who act like children. That said, Phil's about right with the age range. Anyway, the point is that it's possible to have debates by attacking the issues rather than the people.

I agree with Skier1 about age not really being a factor of who is more responsible or who is more mature.
I have also known young people who had a good level head and some well, juvenile adults.
People develop differently and sometimes only to a level and that's it.
Every spring there's at least one new kid who is really talented and the rest of the guys all hope he doesn't play your position. hahaha.
That works in maturity too.
Do Americans need to pay higher prices and higher wages and make things at home, or get use to the idea that much of Americans who are available labor have become too complacent to do said lowly jobs?

Age doesn't ALWAYS mean anything but often times I see it the other way online, Classicblast.
