I guess there's a number of ways to see who is senior.
It could be amount of posts,
it could be by how long registered
it could even be how many of your posts start a thread as opposed to responses.

Senior member should not equal popularity or post count, someone brand new can, on an active board, quickly raise that number, whether or not they post anything worthwhile. It's got to do with how long you've been around more so the way I see it, and if you've been active and participated in conversations not just to raise that post count. Or it could be a member who's not forum staff, but someone who'd look out for the new members and actually have helpful information and someone you can go to.

I don't know how many people your age would, or could, use "irony" in a sentence.
Although, you should watch your mouth on your YouTube vids. What if your mom, or your teacher found it?

I agree. We don't get much respect when we post aggresively, and I'm also guilty of that.
I've come down hard on a lot of you guys and I shouldn't try to push my 'old timer' conservatism on all of you.

I can see how you naturally come across as brazen and coarse if you've grown up on IGN boards. I grew up with a politically iron-fisted grandfather and hippie parents. I was a confused kid.

My first internet experience was in 10th grade (93-94), on an Apple computer when there were only, like, 5 websites to go to.

After graduation, I didn't see a computer for 6 years and was astounded by the advancement ("Wow! 56k dial up? How'd they make it so fast? lol)
It was like someone getting frozen for years and being thawed out and amazed at the new technology.

I also like how Blastgirl faces situations. She's like everyone's mom and your best friend tied up in one. If she were a cop, she'd be the only one I wouldn't want to punch in the face.

And, Demona just likes to defend those she feels needs it. She's the Batman of the boards.

Phil talks fine, but he's short on exposition once in a while.
It's like he's on a cell phone and ordering a coffee at the same time but, only once in a while, like I said.
The rest of his stuff I get, perfectly. But maybe it's because we're both on the same page, age wise.

Pumpkin and Werewolf, I always envision my grandpa on the other end of the posts.
My grandfather will always be in his 50s, in my mind, because he didn't live much into his 60s (fire department related accident).

My wife, on the other hand, is a handfull. Just turned 23 this year and full of energy and on the go. I'm a home-body when I work all day.
She's the opposite minded, politically, as me and I've slept on the couch many-a-night. lol.

Batman of the forums, that's funny! I can explain it a hundred times all on deaf ears...

Anyways, I'm not one to bow down, I can play nice if you can, but if you p1ss me off, don't expect a cheerful reaction. I can't take you seriously if your replies involve chatspeak and dumb images, to me it's just not funny. I do not apologize and boy/girl, I stand firm by my opinions, but that does not mean I'm out to get anyone. The way I see it, the younger users who've been long time members are acting as if their personal playground has been invaded and it's like their replies and this clumping together is an attempt to force others out, though I don't know for sure it's the case. My natural reaction is to fight back.

This was not meant as a flame starter by the way, but what I really think and it will need to be proven otherwise over time if anyone feels different.

Although I'd have said it differently, yes, that's exactly what's happening.

You would all understand this better if you had known what had happened from the beginning. The demographic of this site is changing drastically, and it's alienating a lot of the members that came here for its original purpose. The demeanor and interests of the average 2002-2004 era sodaplay member are far different from the demeanor and interests of the farts.com members that have been recruited here lately, and it has nothing to do with age.

If some new blood didn't come from somewhere the site wouldn't be here anymore from what I understand.

Demographics change over time they always do.
Look at a list of employees a list of students at a school, a roster of a sports team it changes.

Core members may remain but others move onto other things and new people come in.

I was neither a registered member of farts.com or sodarace although I am aware of both sites.
I think Classic was a sodarace member. Blastgirl and Kimm were farts.com members and they both knew Lewa who participated with both sites.

Classicblast is a great member for creating membership drives.

I was asked my my sister Blastgirl to join lewasite.
I am enjoying it. I do think that there have been members who criticize certain posts for no other reason than they don't approve of the person who made the post.
I know a hand full of people took a "Oh another member of the blast family" attitude when I joined.

And as Demona Firebrand said some people have acted like new kids are invading their personal playground. Most people have been welcoming and I am thick skinned and therefore I don't get my feathers ruffled too much.

I am enjoying the new membership as TeamMage is another source of membership joiners and I am pleased to see growth in activity.

I hope I didn't come across as hating on the newer members. I don't think I was acting like my playground was being taken over by the kids from the school across the street, either. I was just upset about a newer member trying to exercise age seniority over some younger members who have site seniority.
