I'm getting tired of this jesusjunkie, werwoof... Why are you so afraid of Christians? Its one thing for you not to believe but to be offended by the mere fact that other people do believe is something altogether different. One of your older Avatars was Jesus getting bitten by a dinosaur. That was a bit offensive to me but I just left it alone because you were contributing. That was disrespectful to those of us who believe in Jesus as the Son of God. Had I said something you would have gotten angry told me I over reacted. So I didn't react at all. So, you don't believe. OK, that's fine. So Werwoof believes sole in creation and you believe completely in evolution. Why not leave it at that for now if you can't agree? Otherwise there's going to be a lot of angry posts and nobody's going to have a different opinion than what they started with anyway.

WAIT A MOMENT
If God created all life on Earth as you say, werwoof, then does that mean that dinosaurs and humans lived in the same time period?

WAIT A MOMENT If God created all life on Earth as you say, werwoof, then does that mean that dinosaurs and humans lived in the same time period? Yes, some Christians believe that. I was in a Christian home school for a couple years. In the science text, they said that the earth was once covered in a large canopy of water on the outskirts of the atmosphere. It caused the climate to be uniformly temperate around the globe, thus allowing dinosaurs and other various extinct animals to live together with humans. Then when the Great Flood occurred, the water levels rose due to the canopy falling, and the various dinosaurs and other animals went extinct because of the change in climate.

WAIT A MOMENT If God created all life on Earth as you say, werwoof, then does that mean that dinosaurs and humans lived in the same time period? NO!!!!! It is never said that Humans were created right after the Earth was completed. I can't speak for everybody but most mainstream Christians also believe that dinosaurs were extinct for centuries before Mankind was created.

Didn't God create man later in the same day he created the rest of the animals?

Not necessarily, This synopses isn't bad, I can find a more explicit one but it's almost 330 and I really need to get some sleep but this is something that explains Biblical teachings and beliefs without denying science evaluation. The titled NOT TWO CREATION ACCOUNTS is the sub heading that would make the point without having to read into long details. agsconsulting.com/htdbv5/r5140.htmI guess if one really wants to know they could read the actual Bible. But that's probably not necessary in this case.

The bible says dinosaurs and people were created at the same time. If 'christians' don't believe that then I don't think they deserve to be called christians in the first place. Anyway, I find the whole creation/evolution controversy to be a waste of time, as the bottom line is: there's no real way to scientifically prove how life developed.

look guys. you can't deny the fact that dinosaures did exist at some point in time. Human remains have not been found from that time period (we know this because of carbon 16 dating). So obviously they didn't live in the same time period as the dinosaurs.
I am a christian, roman catholic to be precise. I believe that the bible contains the word of christ but I do NOT believe that it is all true! Remember that the bible isn't one book its many, writen by many different people in different times and places. It would be ignorant to believe it is all truth. although it may be what the people believed in.
When jesus resurects he will prove to us all how it all makes sense.

That's very true there are different books within the bible and like you said they're written by different people some of them centuries and miles from eachother. Some books are partially written in code too. And there's no way of knowing if the code was interpeted correctly when placed into the bible. Not every book was written in the same language either and again interpetation can vary. Excellent post Aido179.

So, then, would you agree that the Bible is not a credible source for evidence to be used in logical arguments?

I'm getting tired of this jesusjunkie, werwoof... So you think that lewa meant for only one point of view to be discussed? Maybe you should look up "forum" in the dictionary. ;D Brick, I hope you'll grow up some day. Little kids shouldn't be allowed unsupervised access to the Inernet. Have a terrific day.

WAIT A MOMENT If God created all life on Earth as you say, werwoof, then does that mean that dinosaurs and humans lived in the same time period? Yup. No-one really knows, but I think so. Do you think that Creation created itself? That's beyond blind faith, it's just CRAZY. almost_aido: The Bible is not a smorgasbord. BTW, Jesus resurrected three days after he was buried. Others: Man was created on the 6th day. What peon said about the water is correct. Phil, the Bible was written in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, over a period of 1500 years. I respectfully disagree with what you said about the Bible being written in code, and that no-one knows which parts have been interpreted correctly. I am convinced that the Bible is the inerrant word of God (that all scripture is God-breathed, as we say). But I know that you are mature enough not to get angry because we don't concur on this.
