How much money do you try to save and what would you want to buy once you have it saved?
I try to save atleast 25 a week that can't be touched ever. I try to save 25 a week for things that I want here and there.
The spendable fund goes toward movie dvd and cds most of the time.
I would have to buy a house someday maybe that's what the untouchable fund will go for eventually.
Does anybody else save for anything in perticualr?

Once I get a freakin' job, I'm going to start saving for a house and car. The rest will prolly be saved toward a Access Virus TI._glitch_

I'm saving up so I can buy a Wii on release (pre-order if possible)
Right now my biggest source of money is going to be a fundraiser for band where I get money for selling cheesecake!

Same here, just replace "the mall" with "RadioShack", "Curcuit City", or "GameStop"

It's just so much more fun to spend than it is to save. But it's accomplishing to save too.

When we take bottles back to the store my wife and I let our boys split the money from that.
Out of that they can spend some of it the rest goes into a savings we have set aside for them.

If bottles=coke bottles, could you look under the cap and give me codes? I'm trying to save up for really big things that cost a lot of points (you get points from typing in the codes on the coke website) and I'll probably never get anything without seome help.

All kidding aside, Dan has always been a great budgeter even when he was a little kid.
He would set aside change and use it for toys when he had enough of it saved.
He still does that with a charted budget book.

That's great. I'll bet that because of good habits learned early that he doesn't run short on cash now. Am I right?

I'm saving up so I can buy a Wii on release (pre-order if possible) Same. I should be getting around $160 in the next little while, but half of that's going to pay off my new glasses.

Yeah. Thanks. But it's only coca-cola (not coca-cola brand drinks like sprite or powerade)

I was fair at saving but between my apartment and my fishing it has become hard to save.
I suddenly had to move a couple years ago and so everything I had saved had to buy furnature, get a place situated and change carpets walpaper get all new bedding.
I moved to the north it's about 20 kilometers from my folks.
That's why I wasnt' on for close to 2 years I didn't have a pc.
