In one of my earlier posts, CNN had edited and run filters of the Zimmerman 911 call. They had isolated one of the sentences he used, in which it sounded like he used a curse word and then the racial terms "coons". Now CNN has run the tape through even better editing software and it sounds more like he uses the word "cold" instead. This is yet another example where people have been using media reporting to paint Zimmerman as a racist. See for yourself. Does it sound like "coons" or "cold"? youtu.be/YOt1wEDy0SITo me it sounds like he says "cold". But to Martin's more rabid supporters I doubt this will really matter all that much. I suppose we'll see as more pieces of the truth come out. The media is now saying that the police need time to finish their investigation, which is what they should have been doing from the very beginning.

thank you for clearing that up jersey. when I first saw the video and he looked unharmed I was so mad. I didn't know someone messed up the tape to edit it. whoever did it should lose their job. I know I herd about welts on his head. I know if someone was banging my head against the ground and wouldn't stop I would have to use deadly force. I wish Zimmerman would of waited for police but we need to let this all play out. if he is guilty he is going to jail but if not people need to stop being angry that he is free. there will be many he said she said stuff but we need facts and evidence to lock him up. I know I think I herd somewhere Zimmerman will tell the whole story when it's safe. but when people want you dead it's hard to tell your side.

They're charging him with second degree murder. Now we need to wait and see what evidence has come out to suggest he deserves that kind of charge. It very well could be a case where the prosecutors are charging him with the heaviest charges now in the hopes that maybe they can get him to plead down for guilty on a lesser charge like involuntary manslaughter or something.
If there is an acquittal to any charges there will be race riots for sure. I'm not sure what kind of retaliation there will be if there's a guilty verdict.
Regardless of all this, he's safer in prison now than he would be out amongst the bloodlusting public, media, and politicians. That's for sure.

i herd the news today and was glad. if he would of walked free there is no telling what violence would of broken out. I am glad he is in custody. I herd he put up a website saying how his life forever changed and put a paypal account so people could donate. that just discusted me. the part that really made me mad is there was no I am sorry to the parents of Trayvon. it's their lives that are forever changed because they are grieving. i'll never get why he didn't just listen to 911 and stay in the house. if he would of walked free I think someone so angry would of killed him for sure.

The most recent info looks as if Zimmerman will stand trial. There's some accusation that this is only being done because of public pressure but whether it is or isn't the case will be tried. I am glad.

Zimmerman is out right now on 150,000 dollars bail. That means obviously that if he is found guilty he is sentenced and the money is forfeited. If he is found not guilty its returned.
In concept I have no problem with that. Meaning if he was innocent by due process I would say the money should be returned.
What I am afraid of is this is going to be botched. Granted I am presuming that he is guilty and his family is of considerable wealth so they could front the 150 grand to free him I still don't like it. He's in an undisclosed location. I just don't like the direction this case is taking.

Jersey has a good point. We don't often hear about hate crimes by blacks against whites but they do happen. I suppose because whites have been the guilty race in this issue for so long it tends to be forgotten that it can go either way.

Unfortunately racial hate crimes are on going. I think actually theyre more isolated now than ever. I love in the south and four years ago there were some people making an issue that only prejudice whites dont support Obama. Theyre still saying that, but since Obama did get elected the first time it tends to be less credible that its only about racism to not vote for him.
I do hope Zimmerman serves justice though. I just doubt his innocence. Theres over 20 reports of him calling that there was a suspicious character he was watching. It can make a person wonder if he wasnt baiting for a reason to shoot someone. Granted I wasnt there and I can not be sure but thats awful suspicious.

In the words of Rodney King.. " Can we all just get along?"

Rodney King was a very bad situation all across the board. Of course King was a bystander and the police attacked him and brutally beat him. Tragic yes. Justifiably he was awarded a settlement in excess of 3 million.
Racial tension continued and around 1992 a construction truck driver Reginald Denny was attacked by a series of angry black vigilantes. There was no call for it. It was purely a revenge thing and they could have killed a man who had nothing to do with Rodney King. If you're going to retaliate with vigilant intentions at least target the source.
When Lee Harvey Osweld was shot by Jack Ruby, I am not supporting Ruby's actions, but he did at least target the assassin. He didn't shoot someone who he knew not to be a Kennedy supporter. And Ruby was rightfully imprisoned it was not ok to kill a killer.

I feel that Jack Ruby ended any chance for Americans to know just what happened to the President and why.As for King yeah that was brutal. Reginald Denny was beat during the riots that followed after the first trial ended. I watched it happen on T.V. That was shocking.

I absolutely hate that the result is they're free Americans today. Everybody took some lumps that ultimately brought the opportunity to those of us alive now.
Neighborhoods and territory has always been an issue as portrayed in the West Side Story over 50 years ago.

I guess Zimmerman is back in custody since he seems to have lied at his hearing and now it looks like there's a new angle to convict him or at least hold him til they hear more evidence.
