time sure flies by fast. that's awesome he's almost done with high school. I recently saw my friend's son who I knew since the day he was born because I met his mom when I was in fifth grade. I used to babysit him when he was a baby and now he is taller then me. but graduating high school is a big accomplishment and you have so many great memories to take with you and cherish forever.

I have lived in Tennessee mostly since I began playing minor league professional baseball and I have pretty well stayed here since my retirement. I grew up in upstate New York near Olcott Beach on Lake Ontario. About three weeks ago two criminals from that area Richard Matt and David Sweat escaped prison. That happened on the 6th of June. It came to an end this week though. Matt was shot and killed in a town called Malone, NY I have never heard of it but its about 200 miles from my home town and Matt was from the Niagara Region. Today David Sweat was shot and apprehended he is alive though. I am glad they did not escape, obviously. To me it seems as if once a prisoner escapes if they don't find them in a week they're at large for years.

Well Kimm got married this weekend. And that's been a reason Blastgirl and I haven't been around. My oldest brother Thunderbird will be getting married too. He is forty-five and has never been married but is finally going to tie the knot.

Yes congratulations.
I've been absent a lot lately too. Work has been extra busy and Jason graduated college. We figure this to be the last summer as we have known then as a complete family because once college starts and real adult life begins its a changed situation altogether. So we're trying to have as much family time as possible. Once he goes away and is gone for several weeks until the 1st holiday weekend family as his younger siblings know will be changed forever. I lived this 25/26 years ago. I was the eldest of 3 and that's how my family life changed after I graduated high school. So I want us to make the most of this summer.

I am still looking on even though most everyone has scattered. I have again changed jobs. After four years with the sporting store the owners sold and it didn't seem like a good fit with the new people so I politely left while everyone is on good standings but I accepted a position I had been offered.
I am still working in baseball. I wanted to put in a bid for a manager job in one of the AA leagues but Blastgirl would rather I didn't do that because I was away from home so much of the summer during the first years of our marriage and when the boys were real little. This has been a good situation so far. Going into coaching staffs would put me nearly as busy as playing with travel and meetings I wouldn't have to spend as much workout time as I did in my playing days but aside from that its almost that busy.
While my brither Thunderbird still says he wants me to come home to the family business Blastgirl doesn't want to move so that option is out.

Jason has left for school. He is going to the University of PITT but the Bradford Campus so he's only about 45 miles from home.

we haven't been here that much but I am still interested. My dad has been extra busy and Jason goes to Pitt now so that means I have to do a lot of the work around home too.
I have a lot of homework lately too. I started playing with Tralblazer football too with is a regional football group. I am in division 3 that basically means I'm not awful but not that good either. I play linebacker
I am in 7th grade I like school more than I ever have.

Hi Eric thanks for the update. Its been quiet here so I haven't commented but I have lurked incase we have new discussion. So Jason has about half his first semester under his belt. Good for him. I see you're a sportsman too. Good I remember your dad and your brother making reference to Trailblazer football in the past I see you're involved in that too. Good for you.
We're all still moving along here.

Seems like a lot has happened since I was last here. Congratulations to both Kim and Thunderbird on their weddings. Hope Jason is enjoying college. I'm still keeping busy with work. I also attended my 10 year high school reunion back in October, and I still cannot believe it's been that long since I graduated high school. In a couple years it will be my 10 year college graduation. Doesn't seen like this board is very active anymore, but I will try to get on here once in a while. Hope everyone has a great new year, and hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I'm still on overnight shift. I got a little break in the action so I thought I would look on the site. it's been a rather mild winter but we do have snow right now in so we have some clearing out to do. I have a little downtime because you're waiting for the powers-that-be to prioritize what we must do first. it's nice to see you make an appearance, Fartinggurl

it's hard to believe right now there is 30 inches of snow on the ground. we got hit with a blizzard that was worse then the blizzard of 96. my job called me Saturday which is when it started to get really bad in the morning and said they were closing at 10am and not to come in for my night shift. I know it's really pretty to see the snow falling from the sky but I think I am done with winter. but I can't complain at least it hasn't been as bad where we got ice storms and snow every week. I feel bad for everyone who had to be up all night working to clear the roads off. we got a monster of a storm.

the eastern seaboard got it much worse than we did. You got much more snow on your side of the state. A lot of guys in our group got sent to Philadelphia and New York and a few other places on the coast. Over here it's been relatively mild. I did not get sent this particular time

Hello, it's been a while since any activity. Just felt like stopping by and saying hello. Been quite a while since a post from what I've seen. Sure have been a lot of things that have happened since Sodaplay. Getting very close to graduating uni. So there's something to give an update on.

I am glad you did Vix. I still check in regularly. I realize other media has replaced discussion forums but I still enjoy the memories of this forum and I still post at least once a week or more if someone else happens to show up.
