I realize the forum is just about wound down now. That's how it goes people's lives move in another direction and circles break up. I'm still here though and I look in everyday I don't always post if three's nothing new to discuss.
When I 1st began forum discussion about 12 years ago, Jason was in Kindergarten and Eric and Emily were not born yet. Lewasite began in late 2003 a few months after Eric was born and Jason had started 1st grade. Eric is now 11, Emily is 7 closing in on 8, and Jason will be 18 in about 10 weeks and Monday starts the 2nd semester of his senior year of high school. He has applied to 4 colleges all of them have accepted him he has until May 15 to decide which he will be going to this coming fall.
I can not believe this much time has elapsed. Thought I'd throw that out there.

Everybody is getting old. My older boy Jake is ten and my second son John will be eight on the 11th of this month only a week from now.
I agree with you obviously nearly all participation for this site has ceased. And we're close to being finished. I also want to do the most I can to keep it going so I'm still here.

the snow has not been to bad in my area except for the ice storms. in Philadelphia there was a flash freeze and a 50 car pile up. the winter weather gets to be a pain especially when we end up with storms every few days. I went to see Marilyn Manson in concert and a lot of people got kicked out for doing weed. I think I am really sensitive to that smell because it bothers my throat and the smell is just horrible. it made me wonder why people risked doing that stuff there because after paying all that money for the tickets they won't even get to see him. the venue was filled with trash and beer cans after the show. I work in retail it's miserable cleaning up after adults but after seeing that mess I just felt sorry for the people who had to clean that. but all in all it was a great night. just remember only 42 days left until spring I think and hopefully we will be done with snow.

I have lived in the south most of my adult life. It doesn't snow often here but when it does its total shutdown because they're not equipped to manage it. There's a few snowplows but a whole county might only have five of them. There's some sanding or gravel that makes ice less slippery but doesn't melt it.
I grew up in Olcott NY along Lake Ontario. And I am no stranger to snow and ice. Right along the lake some of the wildest storms happen. But its quickly plowed and cleared out enough to keep functioning.

Overtime at work has been unresl lately. Most days I've been there at least 12 or 14 hours. And we still can't get ahead of all the needed repairs. We are supposed to have 0 degree temps the next few days. The powers that be are already scheduling a repair list for the spring and its considerable.
I'm glad to have the pay that comes from this but I am 43 now and don't have the stamina I had when I was 25. In those days I was on 30 hours straight. Its against union policy but I ran through it a few times anyway rested for about 5 hours and went back at it.

Still no comments to speak of in about a week's time. Obviously the forum has lost its participation. I will not close it though. I will check it at least once a day.

I see there has been no traffic in a couple weeks. But some nine years ago Sizzlepop made me the caretaker so I will never stup checking things out posts or not. I realize that newer social media is replacing the needs for discussion boards.

i am waiting to see if I will be getting written up for a meal violation at work. I came in early and when I tried to leave at 9pm it was impossible even though someone was waiting for me in the parking lot to go to karaoke. there was one employee on a Saturday and the store was severely understaffed. I stayed until 10:00pm seven hours with no 30 minute dinner. so far they have not said anything so if they do later i'll just try and explain to them. it's been a nightmare.

I hope you didn't get written up.
Obviously you have been with that job for many years I would think the trouble will be minimal if any.

i did and I was kind of mad especially how I get treated there. I had alex wait in the parking lot for a hour so I could finish straightening the store because they had nobody else scheduled. it was just me and pat and saturday's are the busiest.they asked me about 8:30pm to stay when I had to leave at 9 if they asked me to stay at 4pm I would of taken a dinner but lesson learned.

It seems as if people who are more accommodating tend to be taken advantage of when they should be appreciated.

Guess who.
I haven't posted in a couple weeks but I have been checking the forum.
Jason is now 18 years old and has only 2 more weeks of high school left. When we started forum discussion he was in kindergarten and here he is almost finished with high school.
Otherwise its been so crazy with work and overtime since we had such a harsh winter things needing to be fixed more permanently than the band-aid repair we had given them to get us til the weather broke. The weather did break about 7 or 8 weeks ago but we wont be caught up till well after the 4th of July on projects.
