Hmm, all time favorites, now..... I do love the looks of the 60's Goats, and the Cutlass'. I'd even go for a Mach 1, if given a change. But, my ALL-TIME favorite Rod is and will always be: The 1923 Ford T-bucket with removeable canopy. All decked out in chrome and the tub would be a dark, metallic purple with some fat Mickey's on the back. Although, the flames on this example are pretty cool, too. But, then you look like a preppy who's trying to be cool.

My Dad would say "That had better be a Kit Car because if you chopped a real Model T you have committed Sacrilege. I will scan and post a pic of my Dad's Model T but this is the same make only Dad's has natural wood colored spokes. He says they were painted black originally but his Dad sanded them to natural wood color because he liked it better that way.

Yeah, most T-buckets are kits, using a Model T frame.
You might also remember the T-Bucket from "The Munsters" TV show.

Nice Camaro Edlinfan. I like them. I like almost any kind of car for a reason or another. I would love to have a 68 GTO That might be my all time favorite car But it would be had to settle on one single car for an all time favorite I prefer motorcycles, but man, the GTO's are SOOO nice! I'd practically KILL for that black one. Always prefered "goats" over Camaros. Nice choice.

My first vehicle was a 1974 F150. I googled out of laziness and found this image. Please don't be angry this picture is not my actual one. It doesn't have near enough rust or dents but this is basically what it looked like Mine started life as one of my father's company's vehicles. I was doing tryouts and had no cash whatsoever and my old truck had gotten pretty worn out. It was borderline when I got it. So my brothers bought me a Thunderbird so I would have something better. Also not the actual. I had the T Bird at the time I met Blastgirl if there's any lewasite trivia.

OOhhh, So Blastgirl fell in love with the car and got the guy as a bonus, eh? Sleek lines, muscle (as long as it wasn't a 3.8L) and leather (sometimes). It's like a bussinessmen's Mustang.

You know what I find funny?
They can put a 5.0 (302) in a Mustang and that 'Stang is a godsend.
But, you put that same 5.0 in a Lincoln, Thunderbird, or '72 Gran Torino....and it's suddenly a wuss engine (not 'motor'. Engines are self driven. Motors are externally driven/batteries)

A Lincoln is a little heavier than a Mustang though. Our work had a utility truck with a 302 and they were dual wheeled utility bodied trucks and most of them had 460 or 351 but there was 1 that had a 302 and that was a pig for acceleration. It got pretty good gas mileage though.
Most of the new trucks are diesel though.

Classic has a Mustang GT
I just asked him the Thunderbird had a 3.8 V6 he said he had no trouble with it. The Mustang has a High output 4.6 V8. That's hieroglyphics to me but he says you guys will get that.

Phil, Lincolns aren't 'that' much heavier, though. Most of them were empty body panels.
I forgot about the trucks, though.
And, diesels have come a long way since the mid 90s. I'm impressed with every new year.

OH, man! A 4.6L V8. That's the same motor they use in the Crown Vic Police Cruisers. Fast as all heck.
He got lucky with the 3.8L V6, though. Most of them had head gasket problems and after you fixed the engine, the tranny would go out. But, these are usually the folks who went 10,000 miles on an oil change.
"Coolant Low? Bah! I can drive another 500 miles and be fine!"
My all time favorite engine, though, would have to be the Northstar. They started putting them in the Cadillacs and they hauled...butt.
I was at the Detroit Auto Show two years back and GM had a Grand Prix with a Northstar in it. Two questions:
1. How much? and 2. Give it to me!
I believe that a Northstar V8 could out-accelerate an SSEi Bonneville or Riviera with no problem.
What do you think, Dannyboy? Bets? Anyone?
$5 on Northstar to win.

I do hate working on the Northstar, though. The starter under the intake manifold?! Come on, GM! What were you thinking? That's the hottest part of the engine.
And, a simple serpentine belt replacement? Pfftt! Takes hours.

Being that My Dad, and my Brother (Dannyboy) are both Mechanics and Classicblast's Family is industrial they believe in maintenance as well. Oil changes are a pretty rugular thing with us. I'm sure Dan will be on to answer your question soon.

My truck has a very powerful engine in it that the previous owner put in about 12,000 miles before he sold it. I know that it's a 350 horsepower V8, and one of my friends told me its a 5.7L but I can't be too sure about that. My truck growls and rumbles very nicely.

350 cubic inches is translated metric to 5.7L They're right. Those motors are fast. You must have a Chevy or GMC then.
My 87 Chevy had the 350 with a 4spd and growled for sure.
