It's really great to hear from you again. Obviously there is still a lot more recovery time.
My father had that done I am pretty sure it was 2001. That made him about 65 at the time.
He seemed as if he may never be the same for about a month, and the next month you would be amazed how he bounced back. After about 4 months he was back to the routines he had been into. He wasn't hands on in the construction business for years before his operation. But he will be 74 in a few weeks and he has no bad signs of heath now.
So that's something to consider on the positive.

My dad is a little older than Classic's age 77 he too should listen to his doctors more.
I am glad that Pumpkin is home and has gotten through the surgery. Hopefully the worst is behind us now.

I am also glad to know Pumpkin is home and mending. Its not a quick process but its an important step to recovering.
Don't push your self too hard too soon that's one of the most important things.

I had a recheck today. Things are gradually getting better. ;D
I had to laugh though. I looked at myself in a reflection from a window. Standing there kind of slumped shouldered in a button down shirt with a fish and fishing motif, I looked like I should to be golfing with the retirees in Palm Springs.
Kinda funny and scary at the same time. I'm not that old yet, even though I feel like it some days.
I don't have much energy yet, but it's gradually getting better. It's been 4 weeks since the surgery, and the full recovery takes 8-12 weeks. I had so many complications that I'd bet it will be more like 12 weeks, but better late than never.

Thanks for the update Pumpkin. It is great to see that you're recovering. And 12 weeks isn't such a long time considering what you have already had to go through.

Updates are important. Its amazing when you think about it but the amount of people from a discussion forum that care.
The messages, posts and e mail I received when my father died. The congratulatory posts I received when children were born. People do care. So Pumpkin give us an update.

Why didn't one of us [ahem...BG (either one)] get Pumpkin's phone number in private a while back so at least someone could check in with him and return the updates to all of us?
