they sure do. every rope is usually replaced bi-annually (or earlier). and every fitting needs to be fixed, lubed, and cleaned. the there are specialist parts like the sails. not by my laptop atm. but i'll pu them up asap.
happy pancake tuesday to all!

Happy pancake Tuesday aido.
I don't have a boat. I do have a camper trailer and its a lot of attention. If it's not washed regularly whether you use it or not it gets a musty scent to it.

dude!!!!!!!!!! sad sad news today. in recent storm weather, the boat was blown on it's side. its no easy feat, its more than 2 tons including the trailer. man.....it sucks. the gunwale (top edge of the boats hull) scraped along the roadsurface and shredded the cover and some of the hull. the mast literally snapped in half. thats 5 GRAND WORTH OF DAMAGE alone. then the keel cracked down the center due to the weight of the bulb of lead attached to it.
we hope to source a mast by the end of april.

It was blown on its side while on the trailer and out of the water? Do those hulls repair well if something like this happens?

That is lucky. If that's the case it will be painted up nicely and it wont show at all.

HOPEFULLY! with the cost of the mast and keel, it will need to be a cheap and cheerful job

I'm sorry that happened. That's your big nice boat that's about a year old, right? It's a great boat.
I hope its just surface damage.
When my camper trailer was brand new a tree branch fell on it and smashed part of the roof and the upper part of that side and knocked out a window. It cost me $1000 deductible insurance paid the rest. But its fine now.

I'm sorry that happened too. I hope it's ok and you find what you have to to fix it right.
It's sucky when something shiny and new gets damaged.
