There has been a shooting at Virginia Tech University as of this morning. I heard about it from one of the guys this morning. The gunman has killed about 21 people in total. The gunman has been shot and killed... CNN is calling this the worst school shooting incident in the entire history of the United States. You guys can read the (as of right now) developing story here. www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/16/vtech.shooting/index.htmlTwo people I went to school with and are pretty good friends with go there. I checked on one, he's ok but I still don't know about the other. This is absolutely terrible.

Wow Jersey. Virginia Tech is a big campus and 31 people are killed I don't know if that includes the gunman or not. Hopefully Jersey gets a hold of his friend and he's ok. Bad enough anybody got killed lets hope for the best on this.
I always wonder what happens if an event like this takes place. Most of the time it's a girl that ditched the gunman and that's how he retaliates on the world. I'm sure more details will become available. Right now that article is not even sure if the gunman was killed by police or if he killed himself.
It's of little consolation because when those people run amok like that they don't care if they end up dead. At least there wont be wasted time with a trial.

Yeah...
Imus is paid to be a sarcastic radio personality and spits out a rather tame comment about a womens basketball team (a group of individuals that play a game for a living) and loses his job...
Meanwhile 31 people who paid to go to a school are shot because of the actions of at least one disgruntled person who could buy a gun at a local gun shop, and they lose their lives...
Yet both incidents are a media frenzy all the same.
It begs the question: What exactly are Americas problems?

I just found that all my friends are safe. Thank God. I feel so bad for the families of those who died.

I'm glad your friends are safe. I can't believe this happened how terrible.
Well I wonder if the guy killed himself or if Police shot him.
I could see some people questioning if the Police had proper grounds to shoot
I would guess Police shot him but it's probably less hassle and investigation if the guy shot himself.

Honestly, when I first heard that the shooter was Asian and that he had two police-stock pistols, I thought of a John Woo film. Hard-Boiled. That's John Woo's signature, the two gun's in each hand while sliding backwards on a table shooting at his enemy. Maybe the shooter was trying to emulate him?

This fiasco is already turning into a ****storm, with anti-gun psychos frothing at the mouth.
At any rate, here's a very interesting post I saw on Ted Nugent's board:
This mass killing at VA Tech was a planned act of terrorism executed by a very well trained terrorist operative. Here's why I think so, based on the information I have. Admittedly this information could prove to be incorrect or inaccurate, but if it stands, this is what it tells me:
A diversion was created with the twin killing early in the morning.
The shooter wore a bulletproof vest, and had chains and locks to trap his victims in the room.
The shooter had to have been Extremely proficient and well practiced to place so many fatal shots so quickly with a 9mm pistol.
The shooter's name and nationality are either not known or are being withheld.
The shooter executed himself in such a manner as to make his face difficult to recognize or place.

It turns out he was a Virginia tech student. The death toll reached 33 including him.

Death is just God's way of telling you he doesn't exist. Thats an interesting observation. Its a terrible shame that some lunatic ends up shooting up a school and killing more than 30 innocent people.
