i know you cant get to read this site everyday. if you can read this in the next 2 weeks can I use it for a report on a sports players routine for school?
if no I understand
are long road trips tiresome? what do players do during downtime on road tirps?
have you ever had a serios injury whats the most games you've missed because of injuries? what was your best game? what do you want to do after you are done playing?

I think this is a great idea, I'm sure he'll approve of it. But I can't help thinking he'll refuse to add information that might lead to his "reveal" if you know what I mean.

These questions are kind of general he will probably talk to you.
Because he has taken strong stances on Political, social and economic views he would be worried about his possible issues with the baseball players union. One of the strongest unions in the nation.
But I dont think any of Jasons questions are going to bother him. I called his voicemail. He should log onto his laptop this road trip and if he does he will come to Lewasite I have a pm and a voice mail for him to look at this thread first.

Those are a lot of questions Jason.
Yeah you can use anything that might be useful out of this for your homework.
Roadtrips Roadtrips are tiresome, long and yet there are still time crunches. Most travel is by bus and there's routine that has to be followed. The best thing I got out of this current team I play for is being a veteran player there's some perks. For one I rarely if ever have to share a hotel room on road trips. I can bring my laptop and post like tonight. And without sharing a room I can come on late at night if I want to.
Not every manager allows laptops or gives such perks to you for just having more league seniority.
I've had a few injuries. I've pulled my calves numerous times. I partially separated my shoulder in 1999 missed some time for that.
In 2003 I missed over 2 weeks when an inside curve ball nailed me at the upper ball of my ankle.
I missed a week or more with some back spasms in 2004. Last year I stepped on my son's sand pale in the back yard and rolled my ankle but I let the coaching staff believe it was a base running accident in practice.
Mostly I have been lucky with injuries though. Longest time off is 3 weeks that happend twice. The hit by pitch on the ankle and separated shoulder.
Best game Personally it would have to be 2003 I had a game when the team I played for trailed 6-0 in the 7th inning but we rallied. with us trailing 7-4 in the 9th inning I cleared the bases with a 3 run double to tie the game. Then with the score 7-7 in the 12th I drove deep a 2 run blast to win the game.
My most sweet memory happend last year though. After being cut by my long standing team we ended up beating then in the playoffs.
After playing. I'm not retiring that's for darn sure. They're going to have to drag me off the field by the feet and I'm going to have both hands full of grass for that to happen. As long as someone will employ me as a player I'm going to play.
I would be interested in being a manager but that's a llengthy prosess usually. Someone tries you out as a base-coach and you work your way up. Or a batting instructor but that's the steps.
That's one of the reasons I'm careful not to upset the baseball union too much because guys sometimes get blacklisted over strong stances on views. I wouldn't want to put my future in any kind of danger.
I have also considered two other things. I could go work with my brothers in a construction business that my family owns. Thats' over 400 miles from here and Blastgirl's whole family is here though.
I have also thought about starting a sporting goods store. So I have a few ideas of post career plans but prolonging that is my current main objective.
Check your private messages for some more detailed answers.
Good questions Jason.

Classic is 3 for 3 today with a 2 run shot just now.
The monotone play-by-play announcer goes "He swings and drives it back. It has depth does it have enough distance? Anndd...... IT DOES! A 2 run shot in the 6th for Classicbalst" (Insert actual name here.) "His 3rd hit of the afternoon in as many plate appearances."

I miss the kids, and Blastgirl very much. Not wild parties. We have some fun but that's about it. The park I played in today I was 2 for 4 and 3 for 4 on Saturday. That was against my old team and I'm very comfortable in that park and always have been. I don't know if homeruns come easily in any park but I can clear the wall in just about any park if I get a hold of it. Depends on the pitching too. Some guys are easier to long ball against. My favorite ball players when I was a kid were Pete Rose and Mike Schmidt. Especially Mike Schmidt. My number has been 8 most times in my pro career but 20 would be my second choice because of Mike Schmidt. Favorite non-baseball hobbies are Legos, other sports and movies. Favorite non-baseball athlete of all time is Joe Montana and my favorite non baseball athlete playing right now is Dominik Hasek. I hope I got all the questions.

Thanks for letting the kid interview you.

Yeah that guy does take stealing bases to a whole new level. I don't have much respect for him. I was well aware of Wellman before this incident (and that's not his first) he is a bonehead and that's all there is to it. Umpires don't reverse their call if you scream at them louder.

I don't have any corked bats.
Yes it does work. It brings a lot of bounce to the ball once your bat hits it. It also breaks more easily and you could be caught.
There's no laughing matter on punishments if you get caught with a corked bat.

it can give a ball more bounce but you still have to hit it i think they should kick you out of the game for a corked bat and leave it at that. suspends and fines are pretty extream I think for cork. that seems a little harsh for corked bats i want to get an alumanum bat they dont allow them in probaseball or college do they

they dont allow them in probaseball or college do they No aluminum bats in any pro baseball. Some rookie leagues have proposed them but each time the proposal is shot down. Pitchers would be at a huge disadvantage.
