So is anybody following the Stanley Cup this year?
We're following it a little bit but Baseball over takes all other games in our house.

The Penguins are on the brink of elimination to the Senators. I'm a hockey fan. But my team is the Pengins and they're in trouble.

It looks like the Ducks will take it tonight the Senators haven't been good in that series.
Some people think I should pull for the Canadian based team but being a loyal Maple Leafs fan I can't pull for the Senators so I'm for the Ducks.

After my boyz down in Jose got eliminated I haven't bothered to follow hockey. California gets a Stanley Cup this year. The last three Cups have been in warm places. Tampa Bay, North Carolina and now Anaheim.

I'm happy with the cup. Scott Niedermayer has always been among my faborite players. I was leaning Ducks over Senators but it Its good that someone who never won a cup before gets it now.

I think it's good for the west coast to finally get a Stanley Cup.
Vancouver has never gotten one. Los Angeles has never gotten one and like I said that part of the NHL has never won a cup so it's good for the game to have it more spread.
I tend to think that the same general area shouldn't win championships all the time. When the Yankees won 3 straight world series it was great for the sport that the Arizona Diamondbacks followed by the Anaheim Angels and so forth to keep the pack even. After that we had a Florida, Boston and Chicago world series. That spread the league by location as much as you could in the amount of time there was.

old topic I know but its that time of year again detroit red wings and pitsberg penguins
i hope pitsberg wins because the red wings have won at least 4 stanley cups in my lifetime the penguins have not won a cup since 1992
if the penguins win the cup the reporters might stop harping on how good sidne crosby is and just watch the games too

And the home team won again big time this time.

So we have a game 7 coming up. The hockey season will boil down to 1 game just like football in a way.
SO far the hometeam has won every game in this series but I would not assume that will happen again. Once the game is on what happened the day before or throughout the series is not pertinent.

I always love a game 7. Especially in the finals.
