No way. Lifestyle and orientation is everybody's own business but marriage of same sex is something I could never subscribe to its legitimacy.

LEGITIMACY?? how is gay marraige any different than straight marraige? If two people love each other they should have all the benifits of others. If it's their own business then why can't they? I concede that your post makes no sence sir. I can't belive how horribly closed minded people are.

Let's care about what other people do that in no way affects us! Because you know, every time a gay person gets married, you die a little sooner, life is a little less colorful, and you physically get punched in the gut.

[ I can't belive how horribly closed minded people are. You're the one who brought this up and now you choose to get offended. How people live their own life is their business but Marriage is a whole different ball of wax. I'm not sure how I feel about this. There was a time I would have said NO as strongly as Dan did but maybe being happy together is more important. I don't see it as the same as a Married man and woman my Church roots teach that a Marriage is suppose to have the potential to produce children. I'm not judgmental about this though.

Does gay Marriage somehow lead to starting wars? I wouldn't go that far.

I don't mind the idea of gay marriage.
I don't think I like the way it's sometimes displayed though. There's an amount of same sex couples that are almost confrontational about their orientation. Maybe they're forced to be I don't know.
But there was this couple who worked for our contracting business. They were both good carpenters but they would sometimes hug, grab eachother's asses and make sexual remarks about "Going in the back door" and "Riding down Hershey Highway" and that got to be a little too much.
What they did outside the job I really could care less.

I heard gay marriage was the reason terrorists hate us.

I heard gay marriage was the reason terrorists hate us. Are the terrorists supposedly for or against the idea?

Id say for two people of the same gender to even love each other isn't natural... So I pressed "No!" Don't legalize it... It's against the Christian religion, and against all reason.
I know I sound shallow minded, but this is my point of view, whether you like it or not.

Gay marriage can lead too other problems. The problems would come when if they suddenly got divorced. If too gay people love eachother a lot do they need to get married? A friend of my Dad lives with a woman, there not married and you wouldn't know or think it. They just stayed with eachother and thought why do they need to get married.
Anyway I don't think they should legalise gay marriages because it is against nature for what I believe in and read the above, why do they need to if they love eachother? I think the main reason people are against gay marriage is because....
"Humans live on Earth to prepare themselves for an even greater afterlife. Now some people believe we are put on this earth and have a duty to carry on filling the population. Straight couples can do this, gay couples cannot"

Your reasoning makes no sense whatsoever. How are problems created when homosexuals divorce? Wouldn't the same problems come from a straight couple divorcing? If two straight people love each other a lot do they need to get married? P.S. Two.

I concede that your post makes no sence sir. I can't belive how horribly closed minded people are. Well, 1st of all, just because you might not agree with Dan's post does not mean it doesn't make sence. Not that all your posts make sence either, Earl. Being a married guy I am partially bothered by the idea of gay marriage. Again I am not assuming all straight married people would feel this way. I will avoid the Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve joke But it is unnatural. That's just my take on it. Having the relationship if that's a person's orientation doesn't offend me nor does it make me think less of them personally but I can't see a gay marriage as being the same as a straight marriage.

Phew, I'm not the only one here with that point of view. Anyways, in my opinion the Adam and Steve joke proves a good point. And so does the part about not being able to reproduce.

so then gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children?
