Btw, women don't vote in church, and slavery, I believe, never was a part of christian belief. So my point is still left out. Change of religion doesn't happen. Change of the state might, so let em get married, as long as it's not in church.

I think we should just start thinking of gays as what they really are:people. and people should be treated the same no matter what you personally belive is right. I mean they aren't any less a human than you or me, they just want to be treated the same.

But what if (and this is just an example) we treat em the same, they get to adopt children, and the children get bullied alot at school? this is just to expect happening if we don't think rationally. And they ARE treated well if they get to marry in court. I don't see the problem.

But I don't like the concept of changing a religion. This is what makes wars start. Just wait and see

The only reason they would get picked on is because said pickers have ignorant parents with homophobic beliefs or are just looking for something to make themselves feel better. If this said school had religous beliefs against gay marriage I would understand.

I agree it's stupid, somehow, but I sure as hell know I'd pick on some child of gay parents... It's going to happen, and saying it's because of ignorant straight parents won't help the matter. It's wrong, just like altering religion.

Wouldn't that mean the kid is ashamed? Good point, but it worked against its purpose.
