Just wondering what you think the place in America is.

I had to pick 'other' because all of the places you list might be more exciting tourist areas but I don't think I would want to raise my kids in New York City or Washington.
Yet both are great places to hangaround for a week or whatever.
I think the simple states like Virginia and North Carolina might be the best places right now.

Im not sure how to answer this because Im not sure what you mean by best place.
If you mean most interesting, Id probably say New York. If You mean safer places to raise kids, on the list you have Id say Colorado. New Jersey has a lot of history though, and California has warm beaches, and Washington would be the hub of America.
So all of those choices have a reason to be the best place so I would have to know what terms you meant best to pick 1 of the choices.

It seems that coastal places get the most attention for a resort point of view. That would be New York, New Jersey, Florida and California. There are other coastal states but those get the most attention.
But what about Arizona and New Mexico? The reason I say that is because some people end up moving to those states to breathe drier air.

I'd say Hilton Head, South Carolina. I'd love to buy a house on the beach some day, and the weather is always great down there. It also seems like hurricanes never hit it; whenever one comes around it misses.

i like pitsberg and I have been there otherwise I would go to colorado for learning to ski There's a lot of good places for skiing. Some of them are not too far from where you live in Pennsylvania. I grew up in the Northern United States, and I did some skiing and snowboarding in the winter. I have not done that in a few years now, and I currently live in the South. But my brothers still do a lot of wintersports. I guess they had a mild winter this year and didn't ride their snowmobiles as much as they usually do though. Looking this poll over again New Jersey might offer a lot for someone who would like to be near New York but outside of the City itself. Atlantic City is very cool too. So New Jersey might be a good choice for those reasons.

What places in the States are more known for being peace and quiet? Almost everything outside Toronto is that way in Canada.

A lot of the mountain states have that reputation. Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado are kind of known for being quieter areas.
