I'm not into James Bond movies. The last movie I saw at the theatre was 'The House Bunny', which I loved. It was kind of like 'Revenge of the Nerds' for girls. Actually I'm not really into going to the theatre to see a movie; I'd rather wait till it comes out on DVD and I can rent it. My favorite movie is 'Green Street Hooligans.'

Right now I've been mostly watching Christmas movies I've seen dozens of times. The other day I watched the Alistar Sim version of Scrooge, along with my personal favorite Christmas movie, A Christmas Story. Then today I watched the George C. Scott and Albert Finney versions of Scrooge. About a week ago, I rented A Diva's Christmas Carol, with Vanessa Williams, and it had to be the worst version I've ever seen. I've also seen the 1938 version of Scrooge, and the Patrick Stewart version as well.
I'll just put it this way, I've seen almost every version of A Christmas Carol, plus I've seen it performed on stage in Cleveland quite a few times.

Here's a shot in the dark. Does anybody know the name of this movie.
The story line is about 1940s or 1950s a girl who has two deaf parents and a brother who was slightly younger. The brother was playing on the roof of their apartment building and fell. He was killed.
The girl narrates the story saying that when he died it was silent for the rest of her growing up years. I thought it was called the Dead Box but I seem to be wrong about that.
Does anybody know the movie I'm talking about and if so what is it called?

How about the world standing still when you're shoveling the walk?
I haven't seen any movies lately but we're going to see Marley this week I intend to anyway.

I bought four DVDs with one of my FYE gift cards today. I got The House Bunny, Another You, The Company, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. I was going to watch Four Weddings and a Funeral tonight, but before I could even open the DVD, I could hear an unusal rattling noise in the box, which means the DVD is broken, so I'm going to exchange it for another copy tomorrow.

Christmas story is a favorite of mine too. It's just so good. It's funny when it should have humor and yet it reminds you how you feel at his age and the struggles of a boy his age.

I ordered Cinderella Man.
In case you don't know, it's about a boxer James Braddock. Braddock was a high contender in the 30s but he lost rank and couldn't get good fights. He had a wife and three kids and not really any other job skills other than being a boxer therefore he was down and out and in the heat of the depression.
My some chance he got a chance at a fight and he won. That led up to him getting to box then Champion Max Baer. They called that the Cinderella fight and Braddock the Cinderella man. Braddock unespectedly won that fight.

I remember that at the box office. I really enjoyed that flick. I was not familiar with the James J Braddock story at all. I remember bringing up that I had recently seen the movie and my father mentioned that he remembers Braddock making news. My father wasn't old enough to remember Braddock fighting the fights you mentioned but Braddock was still talked about a bunch when my father was growing up.

I recently rented Wall-E and Step Brothers, which were both good movies. My parents loved Step Brothers so much that they're going to buy it.

Step Brothers is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. Make sure to listen to the commentary. I won't ruin the surprise but it's hilarious.
