I concur. In fact, when Reagan won the cold war and disbanded the Soviet Union causing themselves to spend themselves empty the whole Soviet Union big red bear folded.
The last 20 years Russia has become a modern and progressive society. If it can happen with Russia it can certainly happen in the middle east.

I watched that movie"The Day After" It was so frightening and sad.Only a small number of people in the mid west survived but had no way to know what happened to the rest of there people or the World as they eventually died too.I cried at the end.

That was all part of a time that we are all being shown how close we are to the eve of destruction. I don't think we should bury our head in the sand but I don't think its healthy to scare ourselves to the point of not living our life.

I agree, I won't live that way. It's like earthquakes here in Los Angeles. I know they will happen. I know they can be bad. I don't live my days waiting for "the big one." Nothing I can do about anyway.

I don't think it would be healthy to live in fear and that's what terrorist leaders want. You don't come out because you might get shot. You don't drive because there might be a car bomb. You don't fly because the plane might get hijacked.
That's why we must live our life and not be intimidated by such threats even though such possibilities do exist.

So in Libya the American ambassador is assassinated and the embassy attacked.
They attempted to do the same in Egypt but at least the American embassy got some support from the military there and the military fought off the terrorists.
There are some places in the world that just hate Americans and we should just stay away from. Don't war them, but don't help them either. Just don't be involved in their affairs at all.
That has its downside too. Having an embassy gives us a base if we need to be there, but I don't know that we need 1 in all these places. There are some innocent people caught up in this madness that could use our help but we tried that in Korea and Vietnam and it only lead to bloodshed.
I maintain that the Iraq war was different because Saddam Hussein was a sworn enemy.

I can't believe things like this. Then again if they don't want us there maybe we should just leave and let them see just how barbaric life would be then.
If they step out of their bounds too far we have the might to put them back I wouldn't worry too much about that part.

According to what I keep reading the American Embassy was pretty much a sitting duck too. On the anniversary of 911 in a place we are not well likedMore protection is probably an order. Granted I wasn'there and I don't really know the circumstancesBut from what I'm reading it doesn't sound good. That President Obama saying egypt is not an ally. As far as I know Egypt has always been an allyI without any hostility. At least since the President S a d a t era. I was 10 years old he was assassinated And his successor Mubarek had a job until just about a year ago. I know if no bad blood with United States in Egypt does that not make them an Ally? Obama had the back up from his otiginal on that.

They determined about a week later it was not a coincidence. Nothing gets by this administration.

They determined about a week later it was not a coincidence. Nothing gets by this administration. Can you believe the stupidity of this? Stupidity is probably the wrong word just the fact that they want to sweep it under the rug is what it really is. And I'm about tired of this president apologizing on behalf of thiss country. I am not a huge fan of Bob Dole, But something he said it 1996, 'Politics of our country and the stores' And that's the bottom line.

Oh no it wasn't an act of terror, it was rebuttal to a movie or some garbage like that. How more repulsive can an administration get?

Now they got Hilary. Clinton coming out to take the blame forthe ambassador''s assassination and embassy raid. This is of course to take the onis off Obama for tonight's debate. This is just full of surprises.

I am not a big fan of the Clintons but I don't see the Secretary of State being responsible. Its totally botched across the board.

If Hillary will take the blame for this I guess she has given up any plans for ever running for President again because this would be much too much of a haunting fault to be the one responsible for a break in national security to get voted in down the road.

I hope The Obama is not able to sweep this under the rug in tonight's debate. Tonight's debate topic is largely foreign policy. And this is a major Mistake especially since they were warnings. And even after the fact the AdministrationDidn't want to believe if it To be anything but a random act.was anything other than a random act
