Obama just continues to double down on his policy of trying to push America away from oil. If he keeps doubling down on it he's only going to bury himself. Gas prices hurt EVERYONE across the board. And it is one of the few things that the POTUS can actually help with. Obama chooses to hurt. I don't know why he doesn't think the Keystone line would be a good thing. This would be a great chance to be a hero. Hiring would start right away the the hope would be so strong that might be enough to get him reelected. But I can't see how any President would think that's a bad idea.

They've been saying lately that if Israel strikes Iran the price of oil (and subsequently gasoline) will double within minutes.
I fully support Israel, but if they wind up having to defend their right to exist it would have dire consequences on our economy.
Not good.

Exactly! That's why we must become less dependent upon imported products especially oil.

I am really annoyed with these fuel prices. I wouldn't mind if viable solutions weren't available but it doesn't have to be this way.

It takes over $100 to fuel up my truck. I do realize I chose to drive a full sized 4x4 but this is getting stupid. That's also among the things we were told would be fixed 4 years ago. We're still waiting.

This is what liberals want. They want us to suffer. By not being able to support ourselves, we are then forced to depend on them for our very livelihoods. This is how they gain control. It's about more than forcing people to drive their so-called "green cars". It's about limiting your ability to make your own choices. These manipulative measures are the reasons why I commonly use the words "liberal" and "tyrant" in the same sentences. Because anyone that intends on controlling people and forcing them to do their will is a tyrant.
Gasoline prices are up to $5 a gallon on Long Island. Worse than that, it's up to $7 in parts of California. I'm very surprised people aren't out in the streets screaming their heads off over this. It's already having an effect; people are driving less, the cost of food and air travel are going through the roof. People buying less means products don't sell, and their prices go up not because the market is flooded (which usually causes prices to drop) but the cost of shipping is skyrocketing; people traveling less means tourism plummets and local economies that depend on tourists are going to suffer badly.
The economy is already turning downward. And unless this gets fixed soon, it will crash. It's only a matter of time.
Obama has no interest in helping Americans. He is only interested in consolidating more and more power over us. He is a tyrant and he needs to be removed from office this November or this country is finished. I will make no bones about that.

to start we could dig at home like we have been hearing for god knows how long.
if we dig at home and become less dependent on old imported from the middle east who mostly hates us, energy prices wouldnt have to be this expensive.
i know for energy theres windmills but it takes an awful lot of wind to get them going and they are heavy and cumbersome I dont think thats possible short term to depend on windmills for energy.
gas and oil is available but we are going to have to dig at home.

Hahaha.
Last two posts.
Eric be careful how you squeal on your folks. My younger son opened a cupboard door and things fell on him and he said "motherless F" He only said the letter F he didn't say it out, I know where he got that from only I do say it out.
Blastgirl has done a good job explaining that he is not old enough to say it out yet.
In otherwords you would be surprised how much our kids repeat us.
