I don't know who I want but the Yankees and Twins played a great game tonight. The Yanks ended up winning but. The Yankees had a winning run on 3rd in the 10th and the Twins managed a pop out throw out double play to keep it alive. There was plenty of everything in this game. Obviously that's how playoff baseball should be.

I didn't watch that game live broadcast but I caught the replay. I like that better they skip the 3 up 3 down innings.
But it was a great game. I was pulling for the Twins though.

The Yanks are up 2-0 and the Phillies and Dodgers are tied at a game a piece.
I'm torn this year because I'm partial to the Yankees and Dodgers. Just because that's the match up that got me interested in baseball as a very very little kid.
I like the Phillies too since I've always been a Mike Schmidt fan. Granted he hasn't played in a long long time but still my respect for Mike Schmidt made me partially a Phillies fan.
Then again New York has had subway series with the Yankees and Mets, why not have that in LA with the Dodgers and Angels? I have never been this torn before.

OMG! At work a lot of my friends had seats to the Dodgers and Phillies games. They had a great time! One day it was pouring rain and we lost. The next game the sun broiled at 93 F. and we won. . My friend said "They had to escort some Philly fans out of Dodger Stadium after they beat us." Another said it took about four hours to get home after the game let out. She lives about 20 miles outside of Los Angeles like I do. ;D I believe her.

Traffic can be a big issue.
As unruly as the opposing team's fans can be it's tough to be the player of a visiting team too. On at least 3 occasions I was mildly attacked by the fans. I had a beerbottle thrown at me once while playing 3rdbase. I hit home a winning run and on the way to the locker rooms walking under a set of stands I got Pepsi poured on me.
Another time on my way out of the stadium some guys hit my cellphone out of my hands and I got called a "dream stalking fagot" It turned out to be some friends of a kid who was released who had tried out for the team and I was kept instead of signing that other guy.
Having things said to you not only happens on the road your own fans tell you how bad you suck when you go into a hitting drought. Happily it only takes a couple hits to change their opinions on that.
On a Major League note, I'm not really pulling for any one team but I am rather happy for Andy Pettitte on his milestone. He now holds the major league record for 5 series ending wins. He steps out of the 4 way tie with Roger Clemons, Catfish Hunter. And Dave Stewart.
Dave Stewart is the only one on that list to never play for the Yankees. The press didnt' talk about that though. Steward won his series ending games with the Dodgers, A's and Blue Jayes. Clemons won his with the Yankees and Red Sox, Hunter was A's and Yankees, Pettitte spent a couple years in Houston but all his playoff success happened as a Yankee.

I know how fans can be. This is the 1st time I've seen it explained by someone I actually discuss with though. Its a shame that fans take players, entertainers really. And they don't bargain to be mistreated or abused that way. Sometimes cheering when an opponet's star player gets hurt.
I think the Yankees will win the series but I'll be pulling for Philadelphia.

I have seen bloody results on T.V. with soccer fans gone nuts. And what about those poor kids that get punched by some A-Hole dad who did not like there play in youth sports? What does that teach our kids about good sportsmanship? Now that Dodger blue is history? I'll will root for The Phillies.

I'm going to be rooting for Philadelphia but I'm pretty sure Classic will be puckering up to Derek Jeter and the Yankees. My Husband thinks Jeter is the best thing since Sliced Bread. ;D

Yanks leading in the 7th but a close game and lots of hits. Surprising amount with the pitchers working this game.

The Phillies are making a comeback. It has to be a game 7 in order to knock the Yanks off their high horse but I think our guys in Philadelphia have it in them. All I have to say is Chase Utley

Yankees and Twins rematch this year.
The Philadelphia Pillies acquired Roy Holiday from the Toronto Blue Jays for 2010 to finish the job. Holiday started the playoffs with a no hitter.

I am surprised to see the Yankees in a 3 to 1 pickle but I would not count them out. They're a veteran team that knows how to win and they've been in fixes before with the chips down.

If we're going to have a Yankees Phillies rematch both those teams are going to have to win two unanswered games in their respective series.

I tend to pull for the Phillies or Pirates because they're Pennsylvania teams. I was hoping and expecting a Phillies Yankees rematch too.
But the Rangers have never before won a playoff series before and the Giants haven't won a pennant in who knows how long
Maybe that famous news real if 'the Giants win the pennant' was the last time. Classic probably knows for sure.

The Rangers took the Yankees Friday. Tonight its game six in the National League. The Giants can close it out, or the Phillies have to win to force a game seven.
I'm sure by now the Rangers are hoping that Series goes seven games and multiple extra innings. I hope Phil and the other North Easterners don't get mad at me but I think the Giants are going to win game six.
