I can remember when I was a kid, I found all kinds of random things. I found an unusually large clothespin on the school playground in elementary school, as well as some change that probably fell out of pant pockets. I can remember when I was in kindergarten, I would go to McDonald's at least once a week just so I could play in the ball pit, and I found a purple headband with a fake jewel, a few happy meal toys, and once, a dollar.
