I had my surgery yesterday. The surgery itself went really well; the doctor took out an inch long band of scar tissue that was attached to my kneecap and the fatty tissue in the back of my knee. He also pulled out a bone fragment the size of a dime. The band of tissue was what was causing problems, since every time I bent my knee I pulled on that tissue. I should be much better after the surgery heals and I finish rehab.
Today has been pretty rough, since the percosets (don't count my spelling there) apparently messed up my stomach and left me puking my guts out every couple hours. Looks like I finally got that under control now, since mom gave me some oxycontin instead and a new medication called promethazine for the nausea.
So now begins the recovery and the rehab.

I'm sure it's painful but the sooner you have this operation the sooner you are towards healing. You're one day closer to playing Football already.

I see you're not big on pills, either. There's very few that don't make me sick. Most of them at the throat, though.
I have a hard time swallowing without chewing - which you're not supposed to do.
Good to hear you survived!
My doctor predicted that I'd have to have total knee replacements in my early 40s. Since I've changed jobs that time frame has been pushed back because I don't seem to be having blow-outs at random anymore.

Yes! You need to be ready to sack that ball and run towards that tuning fork on your end of the field! w00t! What color scheme should I be painting my face? Ha ha, blue and white. And thanks for the well wishes from the members. And no I really don't seem to fare too well with certain pain medicine. Vicodin (hydrocodone) made me break out in a bad allergic reaction and percosets make me puke my brains out. Oxycodones are the only ones that seem to work. Over on the fart forum I've grown sick of arguing with Mule, aka "buttsnake" . He's pushing some horsecrap pseudo-science agenda about pain being nothin but mental and that I would be much more sensible to use alternative methods of mind control for the pain rather than the pills. He can shove it as far as I'm concerned... I'm a dedicated college student and it simply wouldn't be practical for me to continue working while on no pain meds while attempting to use some pseudo method to manage it. I'd get no sleep at all and would wind up very irritable and more than cranky. Some people are useless to argue with.

I haven't been back to Farts.com since I recently learned it was back on line. It's too childish for me, now. I fear.
Just imagine:
Reuters: U.S. Presidential hopeful member of colonic event forum! AP: Independent Conservative Mahn Member of Flatulent Forum! NY Times: Mahn Massive Movement Man. Washington Post: Mahn Misses Bowel Movement Forum...
Not so good. My newest Press Secretary wouldn't like to mess with that. She's already spoken out about it.

I joined but the discussion is not what it was 3 to 5 years ago. When a site is offlien for almost 2 years it takes a while to get it back. It can be done though.
I lurked for about a year before I joined the 1st time. The main reason I joined was because Squeaky Bear was being stupid at Blastgirl and Classic let her have it. I will still tell you that Classic was more polite than I would have been had someone said those things to my wife.
I think Classic and Blastgirl are nicer people than me my nature anyway.
Well I registered to make an affirmed position that the forum's members like the Blasts and although everybody has a right to their opinion the crap that was being said just doesn't happen.
From there I became Sgt Enforcer.

I figured I would give everybody a nice update on how I have been doing. I'm getting better, and quite rapidly to the surprise of my athletic trainers. This weekend was pretty big for me because I got off both the crutches and the pain meds on the same day. I pulled out the last two remaining stitches in my incisions myself. I've also switched to a good brace that gives a lot of support. I'm walking, albeit like the Frankenstein monster for the next couple of days, but it's walking.
So I'm doing pretty good. Still sleeping like a rock though.

Good to hear! Good to hear. You'll need your knees for leaping into action at the slightest sound of a gunfire if you're to be my main body guard. After knee surgery taking a bullet will be like tickles form a butterfly that lands on your nose. ....a 150lb butterfly. You get to ride in the limo!

Jersey, Buttsnake just wants to be a royal pain like we all know. I'm sure he'll eventually get in trouble and Rusty will let him have it, or ban him. For now he can just hang out in the Gong Show hoping for new posts to cheer on.

For now he can just hang out in the Gong Show hoping for new posts to cheer on. I'm a mod over there now as well, so I have the ability to nail him as well if he steps out. I sent that same message to just about all the active members, and most have acknowledged it and said they would ignore him. I'm really not too concerned with him but more watching than anything. I I'm getting used to my new brace. I'm also not gimping around as much.

I see that guy is a pest. I will try to lurk there betewen now and when I go to work tonight. Maybe a touch of my nastier streak is what he needs.
He is just another troll. He posted something about how mainline members got away with things new comers did not get away with.
That's not true in context. If it's a little bit true well there's a little leway when you've established yourself.
It's probably not to your benefit to be 20 minutes late for work in your 1st month on the job. If it's you're there 5 years and that happened twice a year, it might get looked the other way.
I think it's something like that. But trolls we dont' need on any forum.

He's kind of a Butthole but we will see what happens. Maybe he won't be too bad right now. Blastgirl said....."Behind Hole"!! I haven't seen any of Snakes mistakes (that rhymes..that's why I used it) but, if he's bad enough to raise a ruckus on a remote forum, he deserves the ban hammer. Bring it down. [Moderators reserve the right to restrict your service, ban your account or come over to your house and kick your ass for no reason other than because you pissed him or her off...]That's how the ToS should read...
