I like linux in it self, but I dont like how it forces you to devote a drive partition to it. Why not use the same file system as Windows? ><

You would do that If you didn't know if your computer would be bug free with Linux.
If you didn't do that, there could be a serious problem, and you could loose your hard drive's games.

Linux doesn't use the same file format as Windows. Also Knoppix/DSL.
Bootable Linux disc ftw? Yes.

the idea of the PC and how its slow, boring, and built for businesses is so over dramatized, PC's work great and those mac commercials piss me off so bad, PC has jsut as much creative capability as apple, Apple talks about how they don't have viruses and they run really fast, its only a matter of time, speaking of which, I guess I should start working on an apple virus, a worm ;D, if you will

It comes with technical support. Big organizations like that.
I tried a LiveCD (using DamnSmallLinux) and I liked what I saw. Then I tried partitioning my HDD to install it. Every single partitioner I've tried has returned errors and refused to work. I've tried everything short of reformatting my drive, then repartitioning it and reinstalling everything---which I really don't want to do.
I would put in a second drive for Linux (lots of unused tiny HDDs sitting around here) but I have a laptop...

Dude. Just use PartitionMagic. Works every time for me.
And IAA, hating Windows does not make you look cool. Same for hating Mac.
Srsly.

That's what I tried. It returned error 8*** (don't remember the number). Found it in their knowledge base, followed the steps (chkdsk /f), and nothing happened.
I don't say I hate Macs because it makes me look cool... I say it because I hate Macs.
