Today was me 15th birthday. I got some nice stuff.
List: - Wacom BambooTM Graphics Tablet [One word- awesome] - Wii Nunchuk controller [useful] - Three DVDs [none of which I'd heard of before] - A wooden box [lol?] - Touch-screen portable electronic chess game [It's fun =D]
I also went out for lunch to KFC with my mum, younger brother, and Raider, which was great.

That seems like a nice Birthday.
You got nice presents. You got to have your best Friend join you and your Family for lunch and how can you ever go Wrong with Kentucky Fried Chicken?
That was almost surely a good Birthday.

Toys and gifts are way cooler than they were when I was your age.
Atari games were about as good as it got for video games. Touch screen chess instead of a checkerboard version very cool.
Can you explain the wooden box?

Phil: It was, uh, an empty wooden box with a picture of a rooster on the lid. @demona: Graphics tablets are really nifty things. Essentially, they're touch-sensitive pads which you write or draw on with a stylus. All your stylus movements are translated as mouse movements, essentially, and it performs the same function as a mouse. Now, this may not seem so awesome, but understand that the stylus pen is far better for precision things, such as drawing, than a mouse. This makes a decent tablet one of the most handy tools for any digital artist to have.

Is it compatible with photoshop? Coloring with a mouse is hard.

I think it has to be easier than coloring with a mouse. Blastgirl and Kimm drew some ms paint. Kimm actually kind of drew me in a post in this site.
But easier tools than a mouse are a must for digital paintings.

@demona: It's compatible with practically everything. Basically, it functions the same as a mouse, but a better shaped for art purposes mouse. Which is very handy.

I was sloppy with crayons and markers I can't imagine how I would color with a mouse.

Its good to get cool stuff for your birthday. the best thing I ever got for my birthday was a racing set with cars that go loop a loop. They're called Peelers and they are over 10 years old and the set still works.
happy belated 15th Joel.
