Yep. I don't blame him.
If someone messed with my place where my wife and kids sleep I have a shotgun too. I have no problem with Joe Horn at all.
Once the thieves knew that Horn saw them it was either shoot them or they would have done that to him. When it comes down to it that's what he had to do by that point.

Hmm, not mention that they were (most likely) illegals? Most likely, only been in the country, since Ortiz's kid was only about 8 months old. I'd have called 911. Said, "Send a cruiser." and dropped the phone on the floor. Let the chambered rounds speak for themselves as the dispatcher listens on. "Property" or not, there are still irreplaceable family airlooms that could/can be taken. Old family photos that are more important than a million dollars that the illega....errr, burglars will just toss in the trash, or a broach that a great-great-great grandmother passed down through the generations. See, the Police don't 'prevent' crime. They only 'investigate' the aftermath (even in a homocide). I don't see why the masses believe that 'everything' should be left up to the police to handle. Also, check out Dial 911 and Die for more horror stories. I agree. He deserves a medal and accolades. |
