California is under serious fire right now. Over half a million people have been evacuated.
That's just so terrible and hard to combat about 1000 square miles are under fire right now.
This fire is into it's 3rd day and because of the Santa Ana valley winds which the winds are normal for this time of year the fire is even harder to contain.
Unless more air sources are available the fires won't be under control for many more days. Hopefully this can have an expeditious solution.
I will be making a $1000 donation toward the preservation of wildlife/forests.

You laugh at this?
It's one thing to have pride of Northern California but this is a tragedy.

The San Diego area is reporting over a billion dollars in damages.
And when homes are ruined and people are killed that's a tragedy even if it is a natural disaster.
Hurricane Katrina's results were tragic, floods all of those things. If someone gets run over by a train I think it's a tragedy. I guess you could say 'Oh well accidents happen.' But I could never be that nonchalant of it.

It's nature but the effects afterwards when they lose their homes is tragic. Death to the idiot who'd laugh at it.

The fact that two people took my post seriously disturbs me.

There seems to be some good news now. The subsiding winds are supposedly making it easier for firefighters to bring control to the situation. So on day four there's finally a little good news.

The fact that two people took my post seriously disturbs me. The fact that you say sh*t like that whether serious or not is disturbing. Totally un-funny.

I'm going to try to stop an argument and say that I'm glad to find out that you weren't serious about your original post.
But also mention that you might have been appalled that people took it serious you might have to realize that the way it's written it could be taken that way.
That's all I got on this.
It looks like things are changing for the better on the control efforts. But there's still some deaths multiple injuries and around a billion dollars in damages.

They now believe that several of the fires were arson, set on purpose. This only gives me reason to believe that they were ALL arson.
Mindless destruction of everybody's livelihood must be appealing to more and more people and groups now.

How can that bring satisfaction to anybody?
It must but I can't see it. I could never live with myself if I was responsible for that level of destruction.

They're saying it's about thirty-percent under control right now. And improving as it goes. So there's finally some relief in sight. I hope.

I think whenever youre trapped in the boundaries of a disaster you can really learn how fragile human life can be.

The worst is behind them from what I'm hearing. That most of the fires are under control.

They just found out it was a little kid (preteens) who started the fire whilst playing with matches.
I still stand by my blame of the communists

Sure, why the heck not? Lock up one commie for any juveniles conviction. I will want to read more about the arson situation but it's a damn shame that so much forest and neighborhood damage could be caused by arson.
That really is terrible.
