Man what a sicko! Read the article up there or down here. BERLIN (Reuters) - A German left his dead mother seated in her favorite armchair at their shared home for two years because he could not face organizing a funeral, police in the southern town of Fuerstenfeldbruck said Friday.
The woman died of natural causes in the chair in July 2005 at the age of 92, a police spokesman said. A doctor called to the scene at the time gave the son a death certificate but he did not register the death.
Neighbors recently alerted police about the corpse. The man told police he could not bear to move his mother and said he never again entered the room where she was seated. Police have started an investigation for violating German burial law.

"Violating German Burial Laws"?
Since when is it a crime to not report the death of someone? It's probably not the 'right' thing to do, but certainly no crime.
This is what I hate about 'Law Enforcement' and why I'm glad to be out of it. "Someone, no matter what, has to be fined, arrested or otherwise be put through the system."
That's their way of tagging and keeping track of every individual.
Like: Why does a cop need to be at the scene of a car crash? He's there to see who's going to get a ticket. Nothing else.

Back on topic:
If a family member's last wish is to die in peace in a long forgotten mountain cabin and be buried without fuss in the great outdoors, they should be able to, without having the gov't shoving their noses up the corpse's dupah and the family getting 20 questions.
Cop: "I know she was 92, but how'd she die? Did she have any enemies? What's her net worth? Are you in her will?....

Oh I know! And what's more BS is this: a person has no heartbeat, is not breathing, and has turned cold, all the familiar signs of death, but isn't officially dead until declared to be "legally." WTF?

Yeah it'd be like he was some kind of psycho or something.
A boy's best friend is his mother.

Eeeee, How creepy.
You don't save dead bodies. Confirmation, sure but it doesn't take two years.

Don't worry, Blastgirl. Like Demona said, she wasn't "legally" dead. So, there's no problem...... lol
