Michael Vick has decided to plead guilty to charges stemming from a dogfighting ring.
I think his career is officially over, who would want a liar and animal abuser to be the head of their franchise?
I think that just because they are famous athletes they shouldn't be let of the hook.

The ethics of pro athletes holds very high in our house. And we know there is no comparison in stature to a AA baseball player and an NFL Quarterback the one thing that does remain consistent is you have to take the high road.
I hope he is through after that. Earl is right I don't know that anybody would take him seriously now either.

An animal is one who abuses dogs. Or any other animals for no reason other than amusement.

I think he should go to prison for a long, long time for what he has done. I also believe that those who condone and even support what he has done should lose credibility. Stephon Marbury, a basketball player, said that he supports Vick and that dogfighting (to him) is a sport just like hunting. I own three dogs, and when I think about what he did to those dogs that did not "perform" (electrocution, drowning, neck-breaking and hanging) it's a terrible thought because of what those animals went through. These are executions, all because the dog failed to kill the other dog and lost the fight. I believe that Vick is a disgrace to the game of football, and a disgrace to the human race as a whole.

No, they should not be let off the hook but sadly, that's the way it goes...all because they are famous and can either buy their way out of it or the fans stand up for them no matter what. There should be no excuses for anyone, and it's sickening what he did. He just made his team look bad and let his fans down and soiled his reputation, but who knows, alot of these idiots seem to make a comeback, though nothing like before alot of the time.
