He was the Russian President after Mikial Gorbachov sp
Grobacov and Yeltsin were trasnitional in helping there be a peaceful relationship between the United States and Russia.
When I was a child the threat of a possible world war between Russia and the US was considered a serious threat. The US and Russia or the Soviet Union had a rockey relationship at best. Yeltsin was 1 of the men who helped change that.
