That's one thing that's not thought of too much by the civilians is the accidents that result in the deaths. The Combat comes to mind but civilians tend to not think of vehicle or helicopter crashes.

Accidents are probably responsible for so many injuries over there. Most of them are probably preventable too.

Accidents are probably responsible for so many injuries over there. Most of them are probably preventable too. Yes, there have been many casualties of 'friendly fire.' In fact there was a bank robery the other day and its felt that a FBI agent was killed in the fray by said 'friendly fire.'

Why do you keep quoting friendly fire? Do you believe that allies are purposefully shooting other allies?

I guess the reason to quote it is because I have a hard time calling something that killed you friendly. I know it's not proper grammar unless I had intended it the way you asked. But mistakes and accidents kill a lot of military people it's not always gun fire enemy or allies. A guy I went to school with I did not know him real well but he did go to my school was killed in a motor accident in the 1st Desert Storm war. Was not a combat accident at all. That could have happend on Interstate 80 for all that matter.
