I just heard that my grandma may only have a week or two left. She has to have regular blood transfusions, but the cells in her blood are staying low. They cant just do more regular blood transfusions.

I'm sorry about your Grandmother. Is this Grandma on the same side of the family of the grandfather who passed away a few months ago?

No, this is my dad's mum. My other grandma is young in comparison. This one is 81 but my other one is 73. And my remaining grandad,is 84 with a bad type of parkinsons disease, he can't have long left.

You may be surprised how long someone can live with Parkinsons. Muhamid Ali has suffered with it for many years. So did Pope John Paul II.
I am still sorry to hear about your grandmother though.

My grandma also had parkinsons.
Look, if its there time, its there time. think of their life that you 2 have enjoyed, and not of the death. Im sure she would rather die peacefully than live the rest of her life in pain. endless transfusions will only stretch out her suffering. this is a tough time, and you mustnt concentrate on the negatives.
