My grandad died yesterday. I am sorry to hear that. Had he been ill or was it sudden? I wish I knew what I could say to make it easier but there really is nothing other than to remember that a part of him will always be with you. There will always be somethings that will happen and you will think of him and silently thank him for those memories. Only time will ease the pain but it never enrirely does go away.

This is very bad news indeed.
I am sorry about this bad news.
I know that you have all the right potential to make your grandad and his soul very proud of the young guy you are and the man you are growing into.
There is no relationship quite like the ones that you can have with your grandfather. My grandfathers taught me to do some things that even my father didn't really have the same touch for. I think it takes your second generation of kids to learn that. Now I see my father growing into the grandfather figure when he sees my son and my brother's kids.
But it takes until then to get to where you can have that special touch.
I know how hard and difficult this can be. But reward him by being the best person you can and giving the most of yourself to everything you do.

His heart couldn't cope any more. When the nurses said "do you want to be resuscitated he said no. I can understand why, he said 'let me go'.
He was 81 so he lived a full life.

That is a long life. And now he is at peace. I'm sorry he was ill toward the end. I hope not for too long though.

At least he made the choice. Its harder for you and your family than it is for him when that's the case.
But as I said a part of him will always be with you.

When I was about 11 I had my grandfather tell me that if I needed his inspiration his inspiration would find me.
He died when I was 17. But I have to say that even recently his wisdom has come to me when I just sat still and waited to be inspired.
Grandfathers seem to be wise beyond that of the rest of us. I am sure your grandfathers inspiration can come to you still you just have to wait for it.

How very sad grandpas are awesome. I think a good idea is to have a time of day to give to him.
Maybe its 1030 or something and give 30 seconds or a minute to just think of him.

His heart couldn't cope any more. When the nurses said "do you want to be resuscitated he said no. I can understand why, he said 'let me go'. He was 81 so he lived a full life. those were his wishes. who wants to live with a bad heart in a bed ridden life? unfortunately, my grampa had to stop eating because the doctors couldnt kill him, at least your gramps got the quick way out.
