Lloyd Bentson

I was a senior in high school when Lloyd Bentson was running for vice-President. And he said to Dan Quayle 'Senator you're no Jack Kennedy.'

Some people loved it others figured it was an uncalled for thing to say. I don't remember how I felt and that was so many years ago it was 1988 so it probably makes no difference now.

But Bentson died today at the age of 85. He was a long term senator and secretary of the treasury.

Bentson was a little too Liberal for my tastes, but he was a good Statesman so farewell to a longterm Public Servant.
