Some people are mad because the program Sesame street is producing episodes targeted for kids under 2 years old.
Without seeing the footage I don't know how appropriate I would find it, but my 2 year old doesn't sit still long enough to watch tv. Although Barney seems to hypnotic.
I think Jason was about 4 when he could sit through a tv show like Sesame Street and understand it.
While I don't know what they're planning in showing, 2 and under still might be a little bit young for an orgaiized tv show of any kind.
Even little kids with cartoons I doubt they really get the plot they just are entertained by the actions of voices of a certain charachtor.
Just the thoughts of Phil.

Phil is an Extraordinary Member (when was it changed? It used to be "God") I'm guessing lewa changed it, in the hope of not offending another 0.00000000001% of the population that might visit the site. The same kind of thing happened when he decided to get rid of a banner because it had "WTF" on it. It's really a small measure of trying to be PC that doesn't really do anything, but it's been that way for a while. On topic: The whole idea of a show targeted at two-year-olds seems ludicrous. I think that TV is a waste of time, and seldom watch it at all, and to me, this seems like just another way of getting kids sitting in front of a screen for a dozen hours a day.

It's actually said to be suitable for ages 6 months and up, or so Sesame Street says. there's not enough research on what effect this has on kids, so a lot of people are criticizing Sesame Street.

I'm just saying that neither of my kids attentions spans would have watched a whole episode at that age.
Jason started around 3 he could usually sit through a show like Seseme street. His brother is 2 and 1/2 and he's not quite ready yet but he does stop and stare for a while if Barny comes on.
