This is just a copy 'n paste of my interview with him. I'll copy it into LSN when I'm done. Please just leave this. It'll add on as I send PMs.
cubed05: 'Lo Sizzley! How are things over in... admin land?
Sizzley: Well, things over in admin land are pretty good. I'm really glad that things have been lightening up with the overall lewasite mood. Slayerx is coming back, and I think that will be a good thing. Admin land wouldn't be much fun without help from people like you, though, so I have to give you some credit.
cubed05: I see you have given him another chance. This should make many LS members happy who thought you were too hard on him. What exactly would you classify as him slipping up, which would cause another ban?
Sizzley: Well, basically what got him banned in the first place; spamming, occasional unnecessary insults, and disregarding warnings. Those seemed to be slayerx's main shortcomings, but I don't expect to see any of that now. I probably won't be as lenient if those things do happen this time, but I also won't ban him if I see only one example of spam. Slayerx and I can work together on this if a problem does arise. Banning is always a last resort and has always been a last resort.
cubed05: Well, I'm sure that ban let him know what would happen, so he'll probably clean his case. And now there's the issue of rylan. I was rather surprised to see him act out like that. He was nice when I talked to him before the summer, but I remember some odd convos with him during the summer. I never expected him to resort to banning people willy nilly, and than making odd remarks at the state of LS. What were your thoughts when you first read what he said?
Sizzley: I was surprised, just like you. I thought rylan made a bad decision, and I still do. However, his main bad decision wasn't the banning of bro_c and tmtigd; it was having a bad attitude about it. He's ruined his reputation, and I don't think he cares. It's unfortunate.
cubed05: I have a feeling he just plain out left LS for good. I really hope this doesn't impact kurt, who is his friend in real life. One thing I noticed was that you gave him many chances. If some newbie burst in saying that, he'd be a bantard in two seconds flat. But you've given rylan a big chance, which he doesn't see. Now, I knwo why you are giving him this chance. It's because he was a bud of all of us. If I was to go crazy and started posting things insulting the way things are run at LS, you'd probably give me a big chance too, but it seems out of character. What do you think rylan will do next, if anything?
Sizzley: You are right; rylan used to be a productive member, so naturally it's weird that he'd act badly.
I don't think rylan will be showing up much around here any more. He already stated that he thought lewasite was a bad place, and I think he believes it.
One reason I let him stay was so he could hear what I and the others had to say. I thought perhaps he could be convinced he was wrong. But I suppose we'll have to see about that. I doubt anything important will happen regarding rylan in the future.
cubed05: Well let's hope so. The rylan thing gave everyone bit of fear over banning, and stuff. But I noticed that many people united together agenst him. Which would be good if any big trouble came along. So have things in admin land quieted down after all this?
Sizzley: Things are somewhat quiet right now. It seems there is always at least one issue to deal with. Right now that seems to be nobody_c and his forum. There really isn't much controversy over this right now, but if any does arise, I believe it can be cleared up.
cubed05: Well, I don't think we'll get much trouble out of Nobody_c. The Crispy Cube is working on compleatly remaking LSN. We're making it in a way so all staff of the CC can edit it, so it will not become as inactive as before. What did you first think of LSN when it came out?
Sizzley: I thought LSN was pretty cool when it launched. I liked the idea. The eventual lack of updates was a bit depressing, but the idea had potential, and it looks like that potential is about to be realized.
cubed05: Well our new idea for LSN should both get rid of annoying ads, and make it much easier to update. We're going to move over the blogger, and off of Tripod. There are 2 main problems I see happening though. One, our staff is just as lazy as me, so we may run into problems again. Two, we need much more submissions. The new LSN will run as both a news artical, and a showcase for an odds and ends of things, ranging from writing, images, and sodaplay. We hope to get a steady line of submissions. So can we count on you to submit anything this time around?
Sizzley: Well, let me answer that by telling you what I'm knowledgeable about on the internet.
-I can do small sodaplay-related things. I'm not willing to take on a big project.
-I can do small video game related things. I might be willing to take on a big project, but it depends on what it is. Don't hold me responsible to it.
-I can write about certain happenings, and give my views on them. These will probably relate to lewasite and/or forums in general.
-I don't do Pivot, programming, legos, Springs World 3D (I'm not very advanced there), Soldat, or Runescape. If I didn't list anything here, chances are I don't know much about it.
cubed05: By submitting, I mean just sending something in every now and than. You can pick when you want to send something in. But, we will come to you many times when a big event has happened, so we can get you opinion in a news artical. You're not under any pressure to submit things all the time. So, I think that about wraps up my interview with you. It's been a great... number... of PMs. Although an IRC interview would have been easier. Heh. Well, yea. You have any closing comments to say?
Sizzley: Thanks for helping me out with lewasite. Good luck with LSN.
