Ok ok I know I'm always on my soapbox about work.
It just gets maddening sometimes because someone just realized it's going ot be a new year in 5 weeks. Oh yeah this year only has 12 months in it.
So the mandated changes that have to be into place by January 2 are suddenly an emergency. And in cold december those changes have to be implimented by me and other workers.
This could have started in August and it would have been done easy and painless by mid December with enough time to refine whatever needs to improve further. But who askes me I'm just Phil the Pollock from overnight shift. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

That's how it goes sometimes. The guys who can't seem to get the job right get moved into positions like office jobs and then they make the decisions for the job they weren't good at in the first place.
That's a number of managers and coaches too.

It does seem that a little more planning could make everybody's life easier.

thats like the people I work for. After something already goes wrong they figure maybe it was a bad idea. Good thinking eh.

I had to work a double yesterday that's why I wasn't here. I had to do a semi-double today I just got home less than an hour ago.
So we're gaining on what has to happen before the deadlines but it's only a month away right now.
There's lots of workers and the focus is on finishing so I'm sure it will get done on time or DOT and EPA put heavy fines in place so I'm sure they won't let that happen without a hard effort to get it right. Its just what I said the other day though. If it got started earlier this would be much easier.

It does seem that a little more planning could make everybody's life easier. I agree. The world is so unorganized...at least on an individual scale. Hope a good hob works out for ya Phil.

Thanks Lewa. And you're right there has been some blessing in disguise with this. I have had some overtime hours. That's why I've missed a day or 2 each week because there's so much overtime to get these projects finished. That means more pay. It looks like I'm going to get more overtime for the next 3 weeks so that's always good for the wallet at Christmas season. And we're going to have a new baby soon that's costly.
