I used to play basketball when I was younger, and I stopped when I went to Middle school. My Dad was my Coach, and he taught me the old school way. Nowadays whenever I see basketball on television, I only see three point shot attempts and slam dunks. I find it shameful, really.

NBA = garbage. Actually, The majority of pro sports = garbage. If you don't mind I'll do my damdest to keep my place in baseball for now. I did play more than just baseball in high school. I was a defenseman in ice hockey, a tighend and defensive back in football and I was an alternate in basketball but I wasn't quite good enough at round ball to be off the practice squad. I still hold some City records for baseball though. Sometimes I feel that the showmanship was better in the days of Dr J, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson because they did things that made people interested in the game. Now days it looks as if the players start fighs and bring upon negative publicity. But that's a privledge major league sports have over us. If I ever embarrassed a small market minor team I'd be out the door. Daryl Strawberry could embarrass the New York Yankees multiple times though. It's just the way it is. Who is your favorite basketball player MC? Being a Toronto person you're probably a Raptors fan. Hatson probably is too. I don't really have a favorite basketball team, but if I had to choose one it would probably be the Chicago Bulls for all Michael Jordan did for the sport and that team. HOWEVER HOWEVER HOWEVER: He played a season for the Birmingham Barons of the Southern League which is one of many AA leagues. I am an AA player. Jordan's statistics at baseball were nowhere close to mine. He stole more bases than I do but he didn't hit anywhere close to as well as I do. So I can boast that at least.

To me most pro sports seem to lack the heart and feeling of college and high school sports.
Pro sports are a job... amateur sports are a passion.
I understand you care about the game Classic, but it seems that a lot of pro athletes don't really have their hearts in the game. Money and fame seem to be more important.

There's a lot of truth to that.
