There used to be a bowling alley wayyyyy back in the day in the student union, but it was removed and a lounge was put there instead.

having a 200 average is very good in 5 pin.
i dunno about 10 pin, but I thought it was incredibly easier. if you shoot right in the middle in 5 pin, you get a head pin, which is 5 points out of 15 points. the pins have different values:
(2) (2) (3) (3) (5)
but you cant punch out the middle pin in 10 pin, its like impossible not to get a minimum of like 6 pins out of 10 on 1 shot. and spares are way easier to pick up.
the only 2 times I bowled 10 pin games I bowled over my average by a fair number.

I'm taking Bowling for a gym credit. The best part is the lack of uniforms. And the fact that a good portion of my friends are doing it. And the fact that I can get away with playing Starcraft in between hits. And that grade is only based on a basic knowledge of the game. Yeah, it's awesome.

Yeah my college does not have a bowling alley here on campus, although I do have an interesting nugget of information to share. The crown jewel of our campus, a HUGE grand mansion, used to have a bowling alley in the basement somewhere. I would have to find it because Im not sure where it was.

For a time, I was seriously considering living in a double decker bus in the parking lot at a nearby ski resort. I had all the factors figures out, and had even plotted living space and everyhing. The majority of the upper level would have been converted into a makeshift bowling alley

LOL. What an idea!
I like bowling...I think my best game was just above 230 (10 pin). Never bowled fivepin...sounds kinda fun.
My dad(when he was a kid) worked in a bowling ally. THen he got into a league and was quite good. This was all before I was born.
Now he's a firefighter and works part time in a hospital. What a change!

I find bowling a great way to relax. Like many things though someone always takes it too seriously and that makes them more hostile and on edge.
