im suprised no one has started this.
Anyway, did anyone see the pine tar on his hand when he pitched his last game? it was CLEARLY pine tar.
the pitching coach for STL also said he was scuffing balls.
is this why grapefruit throwing kenny has been so effective???

Rogers is a crafty veteran and those guys always seem to have tricks up their sleeves.

The Gambler is under a lot of investigation right now.
Gaylord Perry was the master of cheating tactics but pitchers still do everything like that. I've seen a few things, but actually pitchers are somewhat careful about telling their secrets even to their own team because you never know when you might end up playing against eachother and someone you once teamed with ends up blowing your cover down the road.
Those guys tend to not be very trusting for that reason.

Even if they busted him forsure, which I don't know if they will. That game is in the books there's nothing that can be done about it. They could suspend him from further games if they are for sure that he was bending the rules.
Classic, you know more about this than we do, are there really things a pitcher can do to stop you from hitting the ball? I mean can he really cheat that much?
BTW if they are sure he was breaking the rules he should have some punishment but I don't know how I would handle that right now.

At least Kenny Rogers can be good for many teams.
Roger Clemmons was good with the Red Sox and we got him for the Blue Jays he was elstinko and then the Yankees got him and he was good again. I give up...
I remember I was 12 and 13 and the Blue Jays won the world series though both years.

Unfortunately I work overnights and didn't catch what I was told was a great game last night.
I have not heard is there more about Rogers and his tricks?

My guess is there won't be any more said about it especially if the Cardinals win the series. Which is what's going to happen unless the Tigers win three in a row and if that happens that's a mark on the Cards reguardless of Rogers cheating or not. I would guess Rogers will pitch in game five because he has won the Tigers only game in the series If I were the manager I'd be looking at the Gambler to go for game five.

Oh yeah I was kidding. It was just an expression of how the rocket we hoped would make the Blue Jayes a ringer but we didn't get more Workd Series rings. I'd say he is the best pitcher I've ever seen at a live game. Even now he's close to a best pitcher.

I'm kind of bumping this topic because we were discussing corked bats in another post. It comes down to the pitcher and the batter cheating about the same with that.

Those things are blown up sometimes. Don't you think most pitchers cheat a littlebit? I dont think all do but there's undermining in all sports.
In hockey Garth Snow a goalie for those who don't follow it had sponges and wood blocks in his chest protector
When they outlawed all that he ended up a backup goalie because he is a very average goalie at best.

You gotta know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em. I think more of the singer than the pitcher when I hear Kenny Rogers name too.
