Charley Pride is a really great singer. I could see his music as suitable for all occasions.
Classicblast is partial to him too because not only is Charley a great country singer, he is also a former Minor League Baseball player.
I'm not a huge concert goer but I would like to hear Charley Pride.

I am aware of Charley Pride but I did not know he was a former baseball player. I think Conway Twitty was a baseball player too. Maybe country music and baseball go together.
There's a pitcher named Kenny Rogers and a singer named that too. Kidding they're not the same person.
I also like Charley Pride but my favorite country singer is probably Toby Keith.

I love Charley Prides song {The Snakes Crawl At Night} which I think may have been his first hit back in 1967, That songs older than me. I also love {Someone Loves You Honey} and {Just Between You And Me} I like Hank Williams Sr. as well, Hank Jr.,s ok in my book but I definately like his fathers music better by far, Have any of you seen the Tear In My Beer video where Hank Jr. is in his house on a stormy night singing the above mentioned song and Hank Sr.'s ghost appears singing Tear In My Beer as well, then when Hank Jr. opens the door to the room his fathers in he turns black and white like his father and his fathers band? To give the video a fifties feel?Thats a neat video
