I have had this game since it first came out in 2001. It's made by the same creators as Doom and Quake. It's the only online game I've ever played and I still enjoy playing it to this day. Set in WW2, you can choose to fight on the Allies side or the Axis. The campaign of the game is one where you need to stop an evil Nazi plan to resurrect an ancient Saxon warrior that could prove devastating to the Allies.
Has anyone ever played this game or heard of it? I recommend it, so if you ever see it anywhere such as eBay or a game store pick it up.

Yeah, I've heard of it. Is it multiplatform, or PC only, or what?

PC only. It came out in 2001 so it was among the multiplayer online games. It is excellent quality. They used a heavily modified Quake 3 Arena engine to power it and it came out great. Ill link to a screenshot. www.gameaholic.com/games/wolfenstein/There are several there.

Yeah, I've heard of it. Is it multiplatform, or PC only, or what? This thread could have just been part of the vide games thread but meh. Theres a version out for the Xbox (not 360). Never got into Wolfenstein really. I play CS:S and Garry's Mod online every once in a while, but I don't games online a whole lot. I do want to get Test Drive Unlimited for the PC because I like racing games and playing online while cruising 1000 miles of Oahu sounds like fun.... but delays are really making me mad. It was originally meant to be out on the 21st because it was supposed to ship on the 20th. I had it preordered so I call up Gamestop and they're like "Uhh it looks like it got pushed back a day." I look online Thursday morning and Gamestop says it ships now on the 28th... so I'm like wtf. I was hoping to get it this week but that looks like it's not gonna happen because next week I'm back on campus so I can't go to the Gamestop here to pick it up. It looks like I need to transfer it or something. So I ranted about something that is not Wolfenstein.

Didn't know there was a video games thread but oh well.
Yeah I've just started playing it again. I already completed the campaign and now I play it for the multiplayer.

I remember the Atari version. How graphics have come since then. I'd love to get back into the games.
Adventure games like Castle Wolfenstein, Transylvania and some of the Wizardry games. (From the Apple Computer my father had at his work.) The whole screen was green and it took a while for screen pages to change. But they were fun. It's nice to see Castle Wolfenstein make a return.

I heard that they are going to be making another one soon. Im not really sure when its supposed to come out but Im sure it will be great.
After I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I had to find the original Wolfenstein and I did. I played it on my PC, and despite being old and really outdated, I found it to be lots of fun.

Actually, Castle Wolfenstein wasn't published or developed by the same team that made the series Jersey Life is referencing. The Wolfenstein 3D series he's talking about was actually inspired by Castle Wolfenstein on Atari, but Castle Wolfenstein was made by Muse Software and Wolfenstein 3D was made by id Software.

I've been playing Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory lately. It's a typical WWII FPS but they didn't release it commercially because the developers realized it sucked. So it's a freeware game downloadable somewhere on the interwebs. It's cool because of the awesome custom maps that players make and the neato graphics. Runs on Quake 4 engine.

My mom played the old Wolfenstein while she was in labor with me... I always get creeped out when people mention it now.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (WET) is my game, not only have I played it with stunts (protecting him all game and letting him gain xp), but it runs smooth if u have a fast connection, and the game play is easy, MMOFPS. There is an xp system, character classes, 2 teams, chat/ qucikchat, and different weapons for each class and team. The XP system actually works, you gain things like: double pistols, ability to carry bazooka and gun, faster reload, more health, etc.
Overall stunts is right though, without the customs maps & mods the game would not be as exciting. for instance, I won't even play a map if they server doesn't host the double jump mod
I PWN on WET, Challenge ME!
:EDIT: oh yeah and they are releasing a commercial sequel that will go on sale in stores, its called Quake Wars (most likely b/c of the engine it runs on) AND I am going to buy it.....or crack it, test it, and then buy it..................
