Gordon Lightfoot is always a good choice. I'm pretty much an Eagles fan and Hotel California may be my all time favorite but favorite songs for most people could vary depending on moods.

My favorite song is a lengthy instrumental by Rush, started by a humongous solo by Alex Lifeson - La Villa StrangiatoTranslates to English as "The Weird Town". EDIT - Skip to about seven minutes into the video; it gets pretty intense.

Yeah I have Rush in Rio, YYZ is awesome and the rant that Alex gives during the middle of La Villa is hilarious. They're going on tour soon for the new album "Snakes and Arrows". I think I'm going to go to the Philadelphia show.
