Are you a Pink Floyd fan? I like Floyd. Syd Barrett died today he was 60.

I read he had drug problems and that he was a little bit crazy from what I read. It's still too bad to have him die.

I think he was very much like Floyd's reputation. A little weird but not harmful at all.

Like most musicians of their time frame. Not saying that's ok just saying it's the usual unfortunately.

I like to listen to Floyd's songs. This is something very sad. The rock and roll world will most certainly miss Syd Barrett.

If I ever hear 'Money' again in my lifetime, I will probably blow my brain out. Cause I only have one brain. If I had 2 brains, then I would blow my brains out.
Anyway, I heard that Roger Waters(sp?) and the remaining members of Pink Floyd were considering a reunion tour after Live 8 but couldn't because Sid Barrett was in a state of mental depression. I also know that the album 'The Wall" was about just that - Barrett's mental state and trying to get through to him. Deep stuff.

It's funny how insanity can be defined as 'deep stuff.' I suppose it can be though.

If I may clear something up. Syd was only on Floyd's first album. He went insane in like... 1968 or something. But that first album is amazing. Nobody really knows what was wrong with him, but the most probable idea: He was born with schizophrenia and it slowly took his mind with elevated drug use.

slow response, sorry.
but I was very very sad when Syd died. The wall was and is my favorite movie of all time, and really changed my outlook on life. Never has a movie shown such deep emotions and meaning while still having amazing music.
R.I.P.

It is a shame he died. There's always sorrow when somebody dies suddenly and more than likely untimely.
