The DS Lite!
www.engadget.com/2006/01/26/nintendo_announces_ds_lite/
So good. Going to buy it, rain, hail or apocalypse. Or even if it starts raining PSPs.
The Good:
1. 4 levels of screen brightness, not including with the light actually off.
2. 1 whole third of the weight taken off.
3. 20 percent smaller.
4. Very, very, very slim. Smaller than a PSP, supposedly.
5. Moved the function lights to a more noticeable place, so you could easily see when it ran out of batteries.
6. Moved the on-off switch to a more un-accidentally-pushing position.
7. Microphone moved to the centre, where it would pick up noise more accurately.
Quotes:
“The DS has been outselling the PSP in all territories on a week-to-week basis even in its clunky form, so it will be interesting to see how it tears out Sony's throat with this design!” - Jed Merrill
“It’s a Revo-DS!!” – Version 1.0
“THANK YOU NINTENDO” - Blaje
“Fudge yeah!” – Jon Sedar
Previously edited out (now edited back in):
“OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! IM SOO GLAD I WAITED!!!” - MaC01
The Bad:
1. Another handheld remake. *falls asleep*
2. Only a few added features, not particularly worthy of a new make.
3. Pictures released too early. It’s not coming out anytime soon.
4. I can’t think of anything else. Member input appreciated on bad points. Doth anyone else haveth anything to say?
Quotes:
“Typical.” – Cheesepie
“The mic position looks kind of poorly placed, but only if you need to whisper into it with your mouth up close, to avoid looking like a total dweeb on the train.” – PodMonkeys
“Not only does the [DS Lite] look like an Apple product, it even comes with the "Damnit!, I just bought one" feeling as well!” – BeoPenguin
The Indifferent:
1. PSP is black and shiny, DS Lite is white and matt.
2. It has the button feel from the GB Micro.

“Looks like an iBook.” – Anthony
